Comcast has upped their speeds 13 times in 12 years or something like that, remember the docsis 1 and 1 meg downloads? 1x1 channels those were the good ol days haha but 32 down wont be far off now that technology isnt a limitation anymore. And for the record a docsis 2 will run over a hundred megs, i seen the first 100 plus meg test in a customers home around 6 years ago with a motorola surfboard 5101, it was running 115-120 during a test period. Of course i live in ault and just ran mine, I get 12 down and 1 up on dsl and 14 down and 9 up on my verizon hot spot. I have a 1 gig network in my house and a 12mb connection, life is good haha

Jer nailed it. Most people don't care or need the speeds you guy are talking about. Mostly just dick measuring. Most people don't even need 20 meg. You guys are gonna love these speeds when Comcast starts charging by the Gig. With my "doubling" I'm up to 28 Mbs. Anyone considering the $20 modem, do it. You wont be missing the extra downstream carriers anyway.

Pricing per GB could make all of this very interesting. I didn't realize how much data Netflix used, last time I looked we were using well under 100GB a month and for the last 3 months (using Netflix at times) we're between 400 - 500GB. I just dropped the Netflix setting down to Medium quality to see what that does.

Pay for 25. Getting 28. Have done a reboot twice. Still getting around 28. Brand new comcast modem. Oh well. Guess I'm one of the unlucky customers.

one of ? I'm brushing up on my Hindi so it's easier for the CSR to understand my outrage having to spend 15 minutes with them. BEFORE i get them to switch me to a Mainland rep. Which i requested 15 minutes earlier.

Hey so apparently some nodes got 16 downstreams this week in greeley, have you been seeing any of those in the GUI? im curious how it shows with 16 down and 4 up.

Mine stayed the same. Going to reboot again. If that doesn't work I'll reset. I have a D 3.0 modem too. Wouldn't be surprised if my area got the short bus treatment.

Anybody have this deal? I've seen lots of complaints with their standard tier of service...

On a side note/related topic, I got a call from <insert non-intelligible IT company name here> rep with an Indian/Pakistani accent about an hour ago.

He was calling about my computer. I asked him "What computer?" To which he replied "your computer that is using Microsoft Windows". I then told him that I don't have a computer or a tv. It only took about 5 seconds for me to hear the click of him hanging up on me.

In Castle Rock. I think my actual package is supposed to be a 15mbps package, but I consistently saw in the low 20s in the past and this test confirms that.
