It was becoming time sensitive and she didn't want a thumb safety. We were able to pick one up for $410 which was $50 less than anywhere else I was able to find. I'm happy with it.

Tanner today was wall-2-wall; Holy Crap!! I just picked up a couple of things and got out of there.
Yes.
The show was packed from the time the doors opened til about an hour before closing.
I couldn't even get away for a walk around!
A friend came by and showed me the nice Winchester M1 he bought for about $1K
I was also shown a nice KKW Mauser and heard of some early 98K's that were bought.
I wonder if Sunday will be as busy!

With the donkeys out of the picture, why not. IMO this is merely a snippet of what's happening across the country. When vendors like PSA, DSArms etc. have more OOS, then inventory.
There's a Storm a Coming. I could have stood outside with a few AR's and walked away (after BGC) with some nice pocket change.
Getting ready for another wild and crazy show.
Things to do before the show:
1. Bathe the evening before or morning of
2. Brush your teeth, even if you brushed them a month ago Wednesday
3. Wear clean clothes
4. Refrain from that 6th helping of refritos at dinner the night before.
5. Stay home if you're a (D), liberal, idiot (redundant).
6. Bring cash.
We are about to hit the (wet) road and head north!
Today we set everything up!

It's looking like a good day to walk the gun show.
Heading that way myself. Would rather walk the show than sit here watching crap cable...
Not that busy as I thought it was. Was there at 9am and out around 10am.
Got busier after 10, the guy I help sold 5 guns and a bunch of other stuff so a good day.
Got there around 11, left about 1. Felt busy to me. The only thing that really jumped out at me was a very nice S&W 29-2 (those were the last of the pinned barrel/recessed cylinder models). However it was from a dealer, marked as a consignment piece and he wouldn't budge on the price of $995 (no box etc) + fees.
I bought a wallet for $20 and some cashews from the Mountain Man guy, that was it lol (good thing I got in for free). Talked to a few old friends I hadn't seen in a while and got set up for a pass for the Collectors show in a few weeks.
Not a horrible way to spend some time on a day with crappy weather.
Went with the boy today and it was actually a pretty good time (for once in a long time) not as busy as the last time and found a decent deal on some Morgan dollars and .223 bullets. I noticed a head shop table that was a first but I haven't been in a while so I'm not sure if that's new... But I did see a lot more small knife makers there and they had some nice looking pieces.

Saw him also. I slowed my walk as I passed, as my brain was processing, he asks "you smoke?" I said "No, I don't." He says, "Well it's time to start." He may have had the best of who knows what intentions, but that really pissed me off. I hope my glare revealed my sentiments. Opinions vary, but I don't feel it has a place at a gun show.
I agree pot/alcohol and guns aren't a good mixture do what you want but have a little common sense mixing something that lowers your judgement and a firearm. I should also mention I really enjoy seeing the respect shown during the national anthem the show literally stops and pays 100 % attention that was my favorite part of going.
Tanner this weekend!
Anyone know when the next one is? Need some 30 cal cans.
July 16/17
Thanks.
Did anyone stop by the ATF table at the tanner?
Tanner this weekend again!
Yup.
First time I've been in a couple years, it was kinda odd. A few of the same faces/booths, quite a bit of new stuff, including BBQ sauce a table selling bongs and other paraphernalia.
More "buyers" than the past today. Seemed most we were dealing with were buying their first gun. Most of those were for the wife, parents, daughters. Not the normal "I'm buying this for my wife" crap. All parties were present and trying things out. Got the sense this may be the run-up to the election.
I haven't gone since the big book dealer quit going. Truth is, I can buy my guns cheaper and easier than going through the gunshow. I seldom found any real deals there and when the pawn shops started showing up, I knew it was a matter of time before the show went to hell.
Oh well. . . progress.
AND,, its time for another TANNER show weekend.
I hear the weather may be good for an indoor show.

Richard/APEX; bringing up any kits? I keep wanting to order a BM59 kit but late work times keep me from calling.
I just have two STEN Mark 2 kits. They don't hardly take up any room on the table.
We only have 5 BM59 kits remaining in stock and have sold out of the magazines.
I went up this afternoon and set up at the TANNER show.
I hope we get to see some of the members from this forum!
