Kind of off topic, but when my S&W M&P rusted out on me, I went and google searched the issue. I found one site that was so over run with pussy fanbois, that when one poster said his gun (M&P) had rusted, they deleted his post and banned him. I wanted to sign up and post my pictures up, but didn't feel like joining another site.
Ok, so here it is....
4000 rounds over what time frame? All at once? then I am impressed. Life time of the gun? Then by that basis hi-points are uber reliable.
What was the rate of fire? fun ever get hot to the touch? Weather and range conditions? movement?
Stress reloads, from holster, or gear?
On duty or in service per chance?
I bad mouth HK because as a gun smith, i know how the USP was put together, which is small parts that are mostly stampings.
So is everyone elses, but why does HK cost more? I have NEVER seen anyone quantify a difference in favor of the HK pistols. at best, they are equal, yet cost more.
And no shit, people picked on your pet gun in a joke hate thread...
It's what the thread is for. to have some fun with each others favorites.
If you get all cranky about it, then we all have to hug it out, and say sorry, and pretend that your cool enough to play with us while our moms are watching, even though we all still think that only deformed basement dwellers actually like H&Ks....
I like my HKs- I have a USP and a P2000. My mommy said I could have one as long as reduced my video game play from 6 hours a day to 4! As far as them being made by and for gays- you know there's nothing WRONG with that! It's perfectly normal.[LOL]
Hey, some people like paying more money for the same thing. That's why Audis exist, and Cadillacs. [ROFL1]
Now technically these are the same thing each are women; each are brunets; each are holding guns. BUT I would definitely would pay more for one than the other [Beer]

BTW: Fuck AUDI
Ahhh... perfection in camo. I have been to the mountain- and it is good.
some of you clowns should not be allowed to post pictures.

TDYRanger has a thing about sending pics of hotties to his buds. I love getting them. Nice change of pace[Weight]
I don't think any Makarov has ever jammed. Too bad they are just overbuilt steel framed .380s with weird takedown levers built into the triggerguards. And it is hard to find decent hollowpoint ammo for them. Some of the com bloc ammo will throw up a nice smoke screen though.
I sent it in and they gave me a new slide. I think it means that I have sweat that should ban me from swimming in the Gulf of Mexico.
Hey man, my sweat might not rust a gun, but my feet will eat shoes.
Hey you know what gun is poop...
The Luger! Man when it runs it is great and freaking awesome accuracy. But when it fails... HOLY SHIT!! you need 3 hands and a spotter just to clear a jam in that hot mess mother fucker. And take down... you need a wehrmacht engineer and a swiss watch maker to get it back together. Th P38 was WAY better. Sorry, neither gun is polymer but I think it fits into the thread okay.
Fuck you Hitler and you over engineered pistol
That's a fact. You know, I've shot quite a few of my P38s, all equally accurate and I don't think I've ever had a malfunction of any kind.
That is funny. Broomhandle is a nightmare to strip down as well. There are no screws holding it together and it is like a puzzle. I was going to strip mine down to inspect, clean and oil it and couldn't figure out the trick so I watched an online tutorial -- after which I decided it was just too complicated for me to mess around with and decided if I was going to sell it I'd get a better price on a complete pistol than a bucket full of parts I couldn't put back together.
Okay anybody get suckered into the S&W P99? Wow does that sucker look rinky-dink. I guess they had to practice on something to get to the M&P but really that sucker looks like crap. And as previously mentioned Walther is a pain in the ass pile of parts
The Glock must be in the running for the worst ergonomically designed pistol ever made. Unless you have hands the size of King Kong, they’re extremely large with an incredibly awkward angle.
There is absolutely zero trigger control with the spongy double action mess that requires miles of pull to go bang with little feel of the break point.[Help]
Why in the hell would a company use a method of rifling in a PISTOL that they say can’t be used with lead bullets? [Bang][Bang][Bang]
My wife uses a G26, and I am still in disbelief that she likes that piece of crap…each to their own.
XD: The gun that doesn't trust you to own it.
Since I'm finished laughing, I'll weigh in. Based on personal experience-
SIG: Love em. On my second one, and nary an issue.
Ruger P-series: Not fancy, sure as hell not pretty, but no gripes.
Glock: If you treat your pistol like you treat your lawnmower, buy a Glock. Apparently the Austrians have not heard of ergonomics.
HK: They shoot good, but they're waaaaay too proud of their shit.
S&W autos: The M&P is the first one they've gotten right.
All are IMHO of course. Let the games begin...
No, it is what works for her.
I am actually a 1911 shooter (20+ years). For many years, if it wasn't a 1911 or a Hi-Power, I wasn't going to touch it. I am attempting to try another platform for tactical, and the XD was the easiest transition. I really dislike DA/SA and DA only auto pistols. I tried to like the Glock, but the more I shot it the more I hated it.
HK, for when you just really need a more expensive Glock.
Biggest POS so far I had was.......
Desert Eagle 357mag.
The IMI one (MKIII?). THat is so POS. I used 158gr w/ >1280ft/s and still won't cycle 1/2 the time.
Biggest POS so far MY FRIEND had was.......
Walther P22.
Won't cycle 10rounds (1mag) correctly on ANY bulk pack 22lr ammos.
SRG- I had a P228, and traded it up a few months back for a P229R, .40 cal.
I bought a Taurus PT-145 a couple of years ago. My advice to anyone considering one of these would be to buy two of them, your going to need one for parts.
Ruger P series are great shooters and built to last... just like a boat anchor.
I've owned several handguns. The two I hated the most were my Jennings 9mm... that thing jammed about every 3rd round. Probably better served as a paper weight. My other least favorite was my Glock 19. Sorry Glock freaks, but the term "freaks" about sums it up... you've got to be cross-eyed and have abnormally deformed arms and wrists just to get on target with one... oh, and trigger?.... don't you mean "sponge"?
....and done.
I once switched to HK, it was ok, had so much crap on it it weighed like 10 lbs. The mag release was a freakin joke, I trade it for a Glock.
I had a few sigs, 228, 2022 and one other. Problem was their finish. You pay that much for a gun, shoot a hundred rounds and it looks like it went through a war. The 2022 was accurate, the 228 was not. They were ok, better then HK. But I still got rid of them.
