Our nameplate will be affixed to the kiosk at the US Marine Corps Memorial on Saturday, March 30 at 11:00. The president of the association would like as many of us as possible to attend the short ceremony. They are very appreciative of our donation, and would like the chance to express their gratitude. Please come if you can make it!

I will be going. It's on my calendar. If anyone wants a ride, I'll be coming from Aurora @ Tower & Hampden and I have room for 3 besides myself. I'd be willing to meet somewhere before (around 10am?) so we can carpool. Shoot me a PM.

Is there any particular Edicate for the ceremony? Veterans/Military in one area vs civilians. I don't want to do anything stupid or disrespectful.

I don't think so. The president of the association just wanted to say a few words to express his appreciation when they mount our nameplate to the kiosk. He said it would be informal and brief. I imagine we'll all just be gathered around. Glad you're coming.

Thanks to everyone who came, and everyone who donated. Our nameplate is mounted on the kiosk at the memorial, permenantly. We got a nice certificate, which will go to Marlin (his forum, duh). This was really cool. Nice to see some members I know, and to meet members I hadn't met yet. Thanks again.
