Unless the stages suck, then thank Scott for those too! [ROFL1]
Also, bring boots. The weather will be nice, but the ground will probably still be soggy/soft/muddy in the AM. Plan accordingly.
I was at the range all day today. Berms 1-5 are okay and not muddy. But the road between the fence and the berms is still a bit soft so please go slow and don't make any more ruts.
Just so everyone knows, the "new lathe" in the shed is ONLY for USPSA classifier stages. Last IDPA match most of them got used and now we have to cut new ones. The rest of the lathe goes in the yard and no shot up lathe goes in the shed.
The range clean up days are October 12 and 13 and the range will provide some workers, but it would be nice if a few IDPA folks could help one of those days. It does fulfill your workbond.
We are also looking at bids for Nooks so that all the match can be scored with Practiscore starting in January.
If you have questions, let me know.
Have a great match!
Mark, CRCPS President.
The spread sheet is not so pretty. It appears as though Numbers on the Mac does not like the sort tables so I had to sort them manually. All the scores and places should be correct. If anyone finds any issues please email me at seznutn@gmail.com for corrections.

Hello all...
The match plans are coming along for October's match. Kevin will be doing the new shooters meeting and "J" will again be doing the stage design and waking us through them. As most of the setup help has been arriving at or before 7:30am, I've adjusted the setup time on the website. The new shooters meeting is pretty extensive to give the new IDPA shooters as much information as we can, so that's taking about 45 mins to cover. As a result we're bumping the new shooter meeting forward to 8:45am. New shooters please arrive prior to 8:30 for registration. Registration will close and the pre-match shooters meeting will be begin at 9:30am with the match start at 10am as normal. Below are the updated times.

Weather looks great with a crisp morning in the high 30's getting up to 60 degrees around noon. 5 Stages are planned. New Shooter meeting has been moved up to 8:45am. Shooters meeting a stage walkthrough at 9:30am. See you there!
Thanks,
Jason HollandAssistant Match Director - Eastern Colorado IDPA
I'll be there. Probably going to be a pretty poor scoring match. Haven't shot since July I think.
One more thing...
We'll be using the new rules tomorrow for the first time. To me the biggest change are:
- XD/XDm pistol are now in SSP as all striker fired pistols are SSP. So please sign up correctly in the morning.
- Shooters behind cover can not move during a reload regardless of type. Are reloads behind cover are required to be completed while the shooter is stationary
- If you run out of ammo while engaging targets on the move in the open you may reload on the move but you may not engage anymore targets until you reach the next cover point. If you ended up having to by pass non-engaged targets during that movement, that you can't safely engage from the next cover position, then you can't get points for those.
- Cover is your entire lower body and 50% of your upper for the center of the Down 0 section of the target you're engaging. Low cover requires on knee to be touching the ground.
If anyone has any other changes to list please post them up.
Looking forward to it.
Will there be a side match?
I can't make this one. Nephew's birthday party. Enjoy and be safe!
No. 5 stages all party of the main match.
I enjoyed all the stages and shot a decent match today. Thanks for coming out everyone.
Thank for all of the help with setup and for the great turn out of 33 competitors with several first time folks. The scores are complete and up on the website. Just zoom into the PDF to view them.

Fastest score posting in history!
Did as well as usual. [Beer]
Good time had by all. All the help on set up and tear down greatly appreciated.
Kudos to the women shooters. Very accurate today, a lot down zero targets.
I loved those stages with hostages right behind the steel poppers, no sarcasm. [Evil]
Sadly, hostages and innocents were not safe today.
From me. [Bang]
Hey if they don't run after hearing the first shots, thats their own damn fault. :D
New Mexico State IDPA had stiff competition with some long, tough stages for IDPA. ECOIDPA shooters placed 1st and 6th ESP MM, 2nd ESP SS, 2nd SSP EX and 5th ESP EX. One of our FRIDPA homies placed 1st CDP MM. Our SSP EX placed highest overall at 9th of 106 shooters, beating two of the three Masters in the SSP division. At Utah State IDPA in September, ECOIDPA shooters finished 1st ESP EX, 1st SSP EX, 4th ESP SS and 5th ESP MM. Both of our Experts had one overall stage win each with six Masters present.
All,
it's that time again for some IDPA fun. We will be shooting as long as the wind is tame(ish) and there isn't dangerous conditions. Hopefully we see you out on the range!
If the match is cancelled it will be posted here, on the website as well as on the ECOIDPA facebook page.
Note some changes in the scheduling, make sure you don't miss out!

All,
Match for tomorrow has been CANCELLED. Weather is not looking fun out there, so we are giving advance notice and calling the match.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and hopefully December is nicer to us.

Now I don't feel so bad about missing it due to this damn cold I caught earlier this week.
Although if I ran dry I could probably knock down a steel popper with my phlegm the way it is now.
Hey all,
First off Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to you all, hope you got some good gear to bring out to the range!
The forecast says 50 so unless something crazy happens the match for Dec 28th is a go!
Also since this is a Holiday match, we will be adding in a 6th stage for your shooting pleasure!
If the match is cancelled it will be posted here, on the website as well as on the ECOIDPA facebook page.

Thanks a lot for organizing yet another fun match! Great weather, great people, and I saw some great shootin'! Still hoping that we'll have another home-boy stage one day.
Fourth Saturday of the month. Who's in? Gonna be a nice day for "down zero".
And FTN
And procedural
And ... doh.
Sent from my electronic ball and chain.
I should be there. Family is sick so there is chance I have to miss, but I plan on making it. Did they get snow out there?
Some, should be pretty much gone and getting dried out. Have not heard any reports though.

I might drive my truck anyway just in case.
Drove to the range this morning, there was about 4 inches of snow. Drove back by about 4. Still some snow in the berms, lots of melt.
I would plan for cold in the morning and wet and muddy towards the end. The sun will be out. Word of advice...the ground does not thaw much. Please use the crowbars to pull any stakes up on fault lines. Targets, PLEASE just one part way in to tag it in place.
We have been getting WAY too much damage of props because people are just tearing stuff down, throwing stuff around, without caring about the longevity of the equipment.
Be careful on the dirt roads folks.
Have fun!
Boots, jackets and consideration of range property.

Dirt roads manageable?
Pretty fun match today. Cool seeing the Air Force guys out there, but I wasn't on either squad so I didn't get to see how they shot. I guess they got to run capacity on the 17 round mags so some stages they didn't need to reload. Also great seeing a lot of my shooter friends out there that I haven't seen in months.
The AF guys were very accurate- one in particular stacked shots so frequently that entire stages were shot clean with 1 hole/target.
Good times.
The dragon killed me... 1 pulled shot- 30 seconds added. Game over for me after the first stage
Fun match with great weather and a big turnout. Liked the stages where sequence was dictated by a roll of the dice or flip of a card.
