Yup, there it is on page 489 of the SCSW, doh! Shouldn’t try to read small numbers on cold meds lol. Congrats on a stellar Smith, enjoy!

I just need to buy a copy of SCSW myself since I seriously doubt this will be my last S&W wheel gun :p
I bought the Kindle edition. Mistake. The big problem is it's very hard to find anything. Maybe I'm just missing something. The upside is it's very easy to take the SCSW and many other gun books just about anywhere I might need them.
Current pulaski status: got a cheap double bit handle, holy fuck this thing is hard to remove wood from. Might just abandon it for a better fit (if I can find one locally).
The rust and old paint from the head is gone. I'm working on sharpening it up, which unfortunately is a pain in the ass on an axe with an incorrect profile by whoever had it last but with good steel. Oh well, guess I have an excuse to be productive with some beers in front of the TV.
That milestone for this project is well in the past! [Coffee] (just picture that as a beer of course)
edit: I remember my grandpa being great at all these projects. My dad thought he was, but never quite got to the same level. One project he wound up cutting his thumb off.
At least my poorly advised misadventures into wood/metal working are mostly relegated to hand tools.
Started this little project. Troy at Colorado Gun Writes did the engraving for me. He does amazing work. Still waiting on the barrel from Tromix, muzzle brake, and the BCG. Once I have those parts, the upper will be complete.

Troy does all my NFA engraving big +1 to him.
Keep us informed on how those butt splices work out, there have been some bad reviews about them not working as advertised.

That’s really cool! I woulda thought it would’ve been more of a tear-down of the body and cab, but looks like they just lift it off. Thanks for posting. I keep waiting for something to go wrong, but so far, it seems good as new.
Bought these at some pointhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...fff808a464.jpg

She's the only one who hasn't tried to eat one so far.
Marlin 1894 Cowboy Limited, .44mag/spl, 20" octagon barrel, 99% condition, no box/manual but this thing is in fantastic condition. It's a pre-Remington from 2004, has the "JM" stamp on the barrel. Wasn't looking but got it as a partial trade on some stuff. Quick pic tonight.

**Meant to type “JM” stamped on the barrel.
*drooool*
^^ Sweet Marlin 1894.
My new purchase is pretty boring comparatively, but I picked up a 10/22 to use for the appleseed event I'm attending in june
Used, but looks perfect, $200 including the rings and cabelas branded 22lr bdc scope. Not fancy, but it'll do the job and was a better deal than buying a new cheapo 22.

Try this stuff when you burn through that

I absolutely love it. Also if you're using the store blades, you owe it to yourself to grab some of these:

I had an awful time with skin irritation when I had to shave everyday, but this combined with having a job where nobody gives a damn if you skip a day or two has sorted it all out.
Give

a try. Both are classics.
