Sleep can be a crutch, depends on the circumstances.

the doc adjusted my shell shock meds, including the sleep stuff. So, I have a choice: bad sleep for a longer time, or good sleep for a couple hours then wake up due to nightmares.

That sucks. Sorry to hear. My best friend's son did two tours in the sand and he's still going through some nightmare shit.

My worst fear was catching something from those German chicks in the early 80's or getting a hold of some laced hash.
