But I thought there was no gun registry?

Wouldn't the New Life Church shooting fit that description?
So, I'm waiting to see what they find in his apartment, but there's very good chance this guy has severe mental issues.
Instead of saying "Don't blame the guns, blame the people!" I want to say "Don't blame the guns, lets get people some help". I think the best way to do that is to donate to some mental health charity or research. The mental health care in this country is piss poor, and people that need help don't or can't get it. A lot of it is difficult to change (people can't get involuntary help unless threatening harm to themselves or others, and even then it's very difficult) but I'd at least like to try and make a difference.
America sadly lacks behind in mental healthcare.
That's not how it works newracer. The manufacturer has a list of all serial numbers, and to what FFL those were sold, then the paper trail begins. Each FFL keeps their own record of the firearms they sell and to whom and when.... When LE took possession of his guns, they can trace them from the manufacturer through the chain to the FFL. There is not a "registry" in Colorado. It's a pointless waste of tax payer money.
According to an email blast from Dudley Brown this afternoon, AMC theatres is a no-Gun (i.e. free fire) zone. I couldn't find any mention on their website of a firearms policy, but they may well have one but not post on their site.

Why do people keep referencing AMC? This is a Cinemark theater...
