Here I was thinking how lucky you were to have a brand new car in high school.
20 year old car sounds more like it.... I drove a 76 vega in high school.

I think Vegas are cool. Definitely not a new car. I saved the first grand to buy it and my parents gave me a loan with interest for the rest, under the theory of I don’t have enough credit to go anywhere else lol
`79 Datsun Sentra for me. My father referred to it as 'Birth Control' because it didn't have a back seat (supposed to be there, just missing). But even if it did, it wouldn't have made a difference.
H.S. Cars.
72 Plymouth Duster
71 Vega with a poorly done 302 transplant
65 Notchback Mustang 289 H.O.
I bought my first truck from my older brother for $200, with the agreement that he would help me build it over the next 2 years before I could drive (bought it at 14).
1974 GMC 3/4ton 4x4.
Swapped the motor, body work, new interior stuff, painted it (Ford Tractor Blue of all colors), lifted it, built exhaust for it, etc...
Drove that the whole way through highschool, still had it and drove it on occasion till about 3 years ago. About a year into driving it, swapped the carb for factory tuned port injection off of a corvette.
Good times.
Latest purchase for me... This sumbitch runs off with lugnuts RIGHT NOW!!!! Except for 1.5" lug nuts on our gin pole truck that hasn't had the wheels removed in a few decades... Still takes them off, but has to think about it for a few seconds...

I got 2 set of the vett tpi setups with stand alone harnesses. But I think I’ll just got with a holly system this time.
Found a good 3/8" digital torquewrench at a local pawn. Over half off, will test it next and make sure its gtg.
Holley hadn't gotten into the stand alone EFI stuff when I was 14.
Plus, I bought a 86' vette that didn't run for $600, parted it out keeping the TPI setup and the complete harness to re-wire into a stand-alone (PITA btw, but doable). Sold $1200 worth of stuff off the car... Made TPI cheap for my pickup.
Nowadays though, I completely agree. The Holley Dominator and Terminator setups, with LS motors, is too easy and cheap to not use.
That’s exactly why the Camaro set at my parents house. Everyone has a I should have keep car. Being said I should have keep the 78 Camaro and the 04 wrx
A car to keep: Tesla Roadster!

Shoulda, coulda, woulda. Should of kept the 49 Merc & Ford, the 62 Bonney, 51 this, 69 that etc.
Know what i would have out of all of them, today? A pile of rust, from moving here and there. They were $50 - 150 tops vehicles, back then. Who would have "thought" a 64 SS or 48 Indian Chief ( in 74-75) would bring the money they are today? .
Wonder what my Nissan Hatchback will bring in 20 yrs [ROFL3]

Got this from the wild animal sanctuary for my wife's birthday. I really like it. We've had bare walls at our place for long it's actually nice to have some stuff hanging up.

Awesome. I love that place, though always a bit of a trip seeing the big cats in snow.

My gunbroker search skills must be weak. I couldn't find any there.
I asked at Ark Tactical and Noah ended up calling Heritage. They said the long barrel pistols hadn't been officially released yet. They are going to be increasing shipments of them over the next few months. So I am waiting patiently.
On a side note he found out Taurus has owned Heritage for over 15 years. They are still being made in in the same factory in Miami.
