I used to buy motorcycles with the same idea in mind. After a decade or so I came to the realization that I rode the damn things all the time for fun & went on road trips that I otherwise wouldn't have. Say you now have a $200 bike payment, and $25 a month on insurance. If you are saving $30 on gas a month riding that, you are still spending $195 more a month than you did before.
