if you think for a minute that they are just here to be in business and report the news in an unbiased way you are truly mistaken.
Let us just see how they report on the million muslim march in sept if it actually comes to be.

As long as there isn't any government mandate that all sides need to be given equal time (a la the Fairness Doctrine) then let them have at it. Nobody will watch it, and they will go off of the air eventually. Honestly I wouldn't get in a tizzy with Directv about this, because as it's been said before they are contractually obligated to carry it. Now once the contract expires it will be worth watching Directv's move. If they decide to re-up with AJ then I would say feel free to lose your shit on them.

Say what you want about Al Jazeera, it is a good source for actual world news. Once you get past the obvious bias against all things western you do get some real reporting about the rest of the world. I read the online version, i imagine TV would be similar. It beats the hell out of having to sift through the CNN website past stories of Brittany Spears' new haircut to find out what is happening in the world.
