Sorry for your loss, at least you were there for him.
Sorry for your loss !
My heart just breaks for you and your wife. :( I used to work at a vet hospital and every year, we'd have cases of Parvo come in. It's excruciating and hits fast and hard. Yes, it's very important to keep up to date on vaccines.
Parvovirus usually stays in the soil anywhere from 5-7 months to a year; if there is colder weather then it lies dormant in the dirt. About the ony way I can think of eliminating it is to bleach the ground several times over the next few months. Be sure to put a bleach-soaked towel near the door, so you can wipe the bottoms of your shoes.
Parvovirus is horrible. :(
So sorry for your loss!!! We had to put our Rottie down about 18 months ago...one of the hardest things Ive ever had to do but he was mine and I sat with his head in my lap while the doc granted him eternal peace from his pain. Take solace in the fact that you (his alpha) were the last thing he saw and know that seeing you brought him comfort and happiness as he moved on to rainbrow bridge where all our furry family members go after they leave us
I'm so sorry for your loss bro.
Very sorry to hear this
Sorry to hear this. He sure was a good looking dog
Sorry for your loss man...
Sorry for your loss.
That's really a sad situation. Parvo sucks, you basically have to bleach your home and yard to get rid of that.
