Wait ... we can rate threads?

Underneath the page bar you'll see 'Rate this Thread' in the thread toolbar. The question is: can outsiders hovering our site (read: liberals looking for ammo against us) rate our threads as poor? I'm wondering if someone from the Post or some local rag saw this and got annoyed that there is someone in the collegiate environment not talking about the patriarchy.
Sorry, should have put a sarcasm emoticon or something. I haven't bothered rating threads, don't see the point. People will go to threads based on known content or poster, intriguing title, or just because they're bored. I bet whoever put a rating on this thread lives half his/her life on Facebook and Twitter ...
Awesome, love it! Particularly great to see this in the face of the little fascists trying to silence free speech. http://twitchy.com/2015/11/09/whats-...n-dylan-byers/
Very true - That's why every single college or university has a core curriculum that includes some form of liberal artsy and "social studies" type classes to indoctrinate all the freshman. Gotta rope them in while they're still young and impressionable!
I know this has been discussed here before, but I'd wager that 90+% of college degrees that are not STEM or technical training are a waste of money. Womens' studies? Zoology? Anthropology? Music? Photojournalism? [Shake] Try something like Engineering, finance, accounting, law, medical, or computer/network security.
I don't know who rated it with only 1 star, but I'm going to hijack their cause for profit.
- - 5 star voters are the corrupt elite! We don't need more corruption, we need change!
- - -Don't support the 1%! VOTE FOR CHANGE!
- - - - - - -VOTE 1 STAR for THIS THREAD!
As someone with an anthropology degree, I whole heartedly agree. I'd further wager that many of these programs exist to further the cause of higher edumacation/increase the university's coffers. Many of these degrees have a very select field of applicable occupations and jobs are highly competitive. Unfortunately, many of the people drawn to these jobs are intimidated by the prospects of having to compete for anything.Quote:
