I love the guys on motorcycles who went to the trouble of buying and bringing a helmet but instead of actually wearing it, it is strapped to the side of the bike. I get it might be for a passenger at some point, but why not wear one if its there.
Nothing wrong with scraping a floorboard in a tight turn. You need to be aware of your, and your bike's, limitations.
Although I do sometimes find myself unconsciously pointing my toes inward in a tight turn. Even though the sound of my floorboards scraping doesn't really bother me... I do prefer to not hear that at highway speed.
YMMV
I dropped my wife's Road King nearly two inches front and back. Probably won't be too long before I have to replace whatever she's grinding down. Lol.
And my favorite is the guy on the street bike in full leather, helmet, boots and gloves...all color matched to the bike...but his girlfriend is on the back in short-shorts, tank top and sandals. Typically speeding and weaving in and out of traffic. [facepalm]
The scooters are used to beat the DUI circus. You're required to have a vehicle covered under SR22 after a dui charge. SO.... the offender buys a scooter then gets coverage. It use to be you were only required to insure the primary for SR22. Thus beating the heavier penalty for coverage on that 2012 truck.
That may have changed.
