With you on the store love/hate. The Cabelas card is my rewards card of choice. Have all automated payments on there. Good way to buy man things without reciprocal woman things being bought.

It's really a brilliant way to pay all your bills and have one place to send the payments, and then earn tons of money towards free stuff at Cabelas. Just waiting to refi my house so I can afford to open another credit line! I agree there are better options for buying stuff.

The article said that Basspro and the boat place had a better market for fishing stuff, while Cabela's has a better market for hunting stuff. The article also said they are combining to put everything under one roof. I don't see what all the worry is about.
