That bad boy is about as stock as Jeff Gordon's racing stock car. That there is the top of the heap for long range bolt action rifles. You can get similar, but not better.Quote:

It's funny that Greenscout meantioned the Sig SG 556. I've been drooling over the Sig556 line for a while and really want to get one. My wife commented on Christmas Eve that I wasn't particularly happy. My best friend was there too. She asked what would make me happy so I threw out that getting this new gun that I'd been looking at for anywhere from $1500 - $2000 would make me happy. she told me that if THAT would make me happy, just get it.
Somehow, I think that if I were to "just get it", she'd then be the unhappy one and I'd have to live with that, so.... No new gun for me right now.
But dang, I think that's a sweet gun.

Mine just says no. I bypass this and get myself into trouble by utilizing the rationale that it's easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission. In fact, I did that one time because I wanted a metal detector, and (I kid you not) she actually said, as she was irritated with me, that she'd have rather I bought a gun!
