I believe there is some reason to this thought. People tend to think (and I agree) that public medicine would be bad for a myriad of reasons mainly being cost of service and how it has been implemented in other countries. However, I tend to think that public education (while certainly lacking in areas) is indeed a good thing as there is a common basis and requisite knowledge that one must have in order to succeed. While I have personally seen some prodigies come from the home school system, a lot of them lack other skills acquired in the public system. Again, this thought can be twisted to both pro and con. My thoughts are that education just isn't a level of book smarts, but that a certain level of life acknowledgement is played into "how smart" someone may or may not be.

Friend, please don't drag me into personal fights or vendettas. While I have no problem trying to take complex ideas and creak them down into meanial sums.... trying to guage sides is not in my nature. Every side has good and bad. While there is absoute truth, there is also a dimension of grey.




















Tons of fights breaking out on this site recently... Let's all take a chill pill and remember that we are hear to express ourselves and learn. There is a huge difference between expressing yourself and condeming another for their beliefs/views on life.
