She was a female LEO, a guy picked her out as a civilian target and followed her home more than 10 miles (IIRC), his stalking was unrelated to her being an LEO, he didn't know.
I'd pin my accuracy as being 90% on this. I say IIRC only because 40 units of blood might be 42, she might have yelled instead of pounded, and the perp might have died a short distance away. Tiny details.
