I'm all for it, as long as it's new technology, like a pebble bed reactor.
The video's are crazy. That whole city of 70k is gone, wiped away. Reminds me of Katrina. Sad
Anyone know how that airport they built in the middle of the ocean held up?
Kansai? In southern Japan, I think. No real additional threat to it besides the fact that it has been sinking ever since they built it.
this is a bad scene.
those videos are horrifying.
God be with them.
This video is mind blowing. 10th one down, CNN iReport.

Finally heard back from some family members in Tokyo. They are ok, they were out of power and communication upto last night. I have a friend whose in law is still missing. Prayers to the japanese. Their fear is now the 2 nuclear power plant being shown nonstop on TV.
The roof of the reactor building blew off, but they are saying the steel building surround the reactor itself is still contained.
MB, glad you were able to finally hear back from your family. I hope your friend hears from their inlaw soon.
It sure is a sad thing to see..
I do have to say they have damn good Tsunami plans though.
I've always wanted to visit Japan.. My buddy was teaching English over there few years back.. always tried to get me to come visit.. and I was always up for it till I saw the price of a plane ticket..
