Such a beautiful cat. So sorry for your loss. My cat, Michaela, is fast approaching 16 years of having been my owner and I know her time is coming. It will be a very sad day when I have to let her go.

I'm in the same boat, our cat, Sunday, who we inherited from my cousin when she moved to where cats weren't allowed, is also 16.
Cats are a different kind of situation than dogs. Not saying either is better, as I own both, but dogs love regardless and form deep bonds, cats you have to kind of work at to be really good friends, and either the loss is tough when you have a furry, 4-legged companion that goes to doggy/kitty heaven. It's sad but true that they don't live as long as we all wish, but in the end their friendship and love is worth it!
You own a dog.
A cat chooses you as a member of their tending staff............
I feel for ya. I have lost a couple at 15-17 years. This is the one that hurt the most. He was a stray that was 3-4 when I got him. He was with me 16 years. I now have another that people think is the same one.
Most dog like cat I have ever known. Old style Balinese. http://i884.photobucket.com/albums/a...up128Small.jpg

Sorry for you're loss Bert! I have a dog and I'm 95% sure she will be my last. I can't take that heart break any more. [Beer]
Sorry for your loss man. I've lost a couple myself, it does get easier. Pic attached of my current furry friend, Murphy (2008-)
My thoughts are with you.. I can't imagine the pain you are feeling, I know when smokey (my cat) passes I will be crushed. I don't consider my pets animals, I consider them family.
Funny, some cats seem to just up and decide to leave one day. Had some friends whose cat did that, just left. Then he came back about 5 years later. We had one do that too, just split. Then one night several months later, I spotted him cruising across the back yard. Gathered him up, he stayed around for awhile, then boogied again. Strange critters.
