I don't like post count limits... I think it leads to what are basically spam posts to reach the limits ( 15 or 150 .. same diff.. same crap posts )

That being said ... I do see the merit behind them . just I know how "people" are and they will use the spam tactic just to reach the lower limit to do what they want.

Catch 22 I suppose.

Thats what the op got caught doing, and the reason he made this thread. But the difference is right now there is a 15 post min that the op is pissed about. The mods just showed that they are watching fng's and doing a good job at it, but people with gripe no matter what.

Well, I'm in the damned if I do, damned if I don't seat now. (Not that I haven't been in it for the last year and a half anyway.) I had the conversation with Roger about that place quite awhile ago. He didn't like it much either. But, we both agreed that it did bring people to the site. Which, of course we both wanted.

Everything was fine in there until about 2008, then it all went south. I couldn't even get volunteers to help mod the place. (Finally getting a few.) But, I was fed up with it. Once again, I requested of Roger to just toss it. Again, He talked me out of it.

I found, the suck... I mean theginsue *cough,cough*, and threw him to the wolves. That's when we started up with the reevaluation of the rules for the place. And yes, I wish I had been smart enough in the beginning to have most of then in place when we first started. But, I wasn't, so I paid the price.

Yes, I would like to see everyone use the place. But, I do realize that there are the ones that are here just to buy and sell. (That became real evident when the posts in the trading post were made not to count.) I have no problem with that. Too each his own.

I think I lost about 10 posts then...
