I voted for the Iphone but the droid bionic is badass
There seems to be a misconception that "Droid" means one model or manufacturer of phone... it's an OS, and there are many different flavors of "droids" from several different companies to suit different needs (one of the other things I like) I have NOT experienced battery issues as you describe with this LG (I admit it's not a very high-powered droid, I'm not that gadget- hungry)Quote:

also cost, I got this droid for $60 with no contract- so I am able to use a cheaper contract that doesn't subsidize phones
I agree it mostly comes down to preference- if someone gave me an iPhone, I'd look for a way to trade it for a droid. so it's not even about price, they just don't do it for me...
this question is more like "1911 or Glock". You choose whatever fits you more.
I voted Android simply because of the cost of paid apps (most apps cost from $1 to $4 and as soon as you bought it you can install it as many times and to as many devices as you want too) + being an "open source" OS it upgrades constantly and growth much faster than Apple.
iphone, hands down. I just got my 4, love it. Have had every version since the first. Just as with all the other apple stuff I have owned it just works.
I have Verizon and have no problems. Have had an "android" phone for a year and a half with very minor problems (have to pull the battery every 6 months or so). My LG ally is ok, my wife just got an LG vortex last month and its cool but no key board.
iphones have some features I like, but so do the droids. Its gonna be a tough decision in Feb when its time to upgrade! I was leaning towards the iphone but I may switch from android to droid.
A plus for the iphone I guess (word of mouth). A co-worker told me if you get an iphone dont get the service plan/warranty stuff, he said if you break it besides the $6/month or what ever you have to pay $99 to get it replaced. But he said you could take it to the apple store or what ever in denver and get it fixed/replaced for $99 without paying the monthly charge? I dont know the wholse story just heard it from an apple guy.
my main issue with other phones, and PCs for that matter is that they are slapped together with the cheapest possible components and just dont last. Apple crap is more expensive for sure, but in my experience (at least with electronics) is you get what you pay for.
I like the battery life of my iphone 3gs. It also works well with my ipad, ipod and mac book pro. What can i say, im a bit of a apple whore. It just all flows together. Looking at the 4s next week.
Android is full of bug, prone to virus, and because it is a El goog product, it is tied to the NSA under the carnivor program.
