Ya, that one...
...That hurts...

Spyder, worse, there has been actual fraud found in Wakefield's paper. His paper was not merely bad, not merely incorrect but an intentional fraud. The actual medical records of studied patients did not match what was reported in the paper, with cases of autism that had been diagnosed before the MMR vaccination being reported as diagnosed after.
Wakefield... His 'research' is incomplete, erroneous, and was released without ANY peer review. He's an embarrassment to the scientific community and anyone placing any stock in his 'research' is a prime candidate for purchase of ocean front property in Nebraska.
Hollywood figures promoting things they have no education to understand nor vet for validity is one of the biggest indicators of stupid, IMO. Ther is a reason that Scientology is more prevalent in Hollyweird than any other place. Excess money and deep flowing stupidity always equals 'sucker ripe for the plucking'.
There has yet to be a validated report of vaccinations causing systemic health problems, period. They biggest problem is allergic reactions to the carrier solutions, which is probably what happened to Mtn Man.
Pain swelling and heat is common with certain types of vaccines. Typhoid, tetanus, and anthrax are the three that really suck. Smallpox is pretty bad too.
That's certainly a strange logical leap. Using smallpox and plague as a support, particularly when talking about vaccinating your kid, doesn't make any sense is all. There's a wide array of things they're much more likely to get, and actually get vaccinated against so they don't.
I tend to think most vaccinations are not needed. Take roto virus vaccine. The roto virus is a bad case of diarrhea. You get it and then you will never get it again. Apparently a LOT of people still get the roto virus even though they have been vaccinated against it.
Whether vaccines are related to autism is a touchy subject. Most doctors will say no, but thats only because they have been told by the medical establishment. The U.S has one of the highest autism rates in the world and it has one of the highest vaccinations rates in the world. Are the two related?? I don't know but something is causing this in our country and its not natural...
And for those people that say nobody has died from taking a vaccine they are absolutely wrong!!!!
And for those that say autism can't be helped with diet, you are absolutely wrong!!!
It’s not the vaccine that’s the issue it’s the fact that some vaccines contain Thiomersal which acts as a preservative. Thiomersal contains the mercury but most vaccines are made in ‘T-free’ forms.
As with most drugs there are potential side-effects but the benefits outweigh them.
Flu shot, well that’s a different ball game as it’s made of the most common strains of the flu virus so you still can potentially get flu after the shot.
You may have guessed that I work in the pharma/biotech industry.
Nope you are wrong. The US does not have "one" of the highest vaccination rate in the world. All of europe is close to 100%, yet their autism rate is a fraction of what we have here.
Gene pool, food habit, may have something to do with it.
FYI: I have 2 sons who received all of the vaccin they need, one has Asperger syndrome (borderline autism) the other one does not. One of the lady in our asperger support group NEVER had her kids vaccinated for anything: One is asperger, the other one Autist!
