How do you know if you are "Pending"? Do you have to call?
And here's the latest photo update... With pistol tube attached. Enjoy!

I wait about a month or two after the check clears and call the ATF once to confirm that it's pending, then just wait. Further calls are a waste of your and the ATF's time. At seven months from pending without hearing anything call your dealer. At eight call the ATF.
O2
Ps. seven and eight being WAGs given the current backlog.
This is what happened with my first stamp for the Krink.
Mail was received 2/13/2012
Check cashed 2/22/2012
Pending 5/?/2012 (I called in June after my first attempt made in Feb told it was gonna take a month or two to go Pending)
Received 8/8/2012
I waited a whole month this time to give'em a call.... and was pretty surprised to hear my stuff went pending. Looks like the guys at BATF got some help after all.
Depending on what time of day you call you'll end up with an automated/answering machine (early morning time before 12pm Eastern time)... or actually catching someone to pick up your call.
Don't forget to butter'em up when your on the line with'em [Tooth][Beer]
Honey, that gun is sweet!! [Awesom]
Hey Mike, mine are about 2-3 weeks behind yours. I haven't called to check pending status yet, just going on when they cashed the checks. We should get together so we can compare cans. I have the SAS Arbiter ti and the Thunderbeast 30p1 coming for my 308's and a Specter II and a Sparrow SS coming for the 22's.
I dragged ass for so long getting my trust done that I just did 4 of them at once. Now I just gotta get some barrels threaded....[Bang]
That will be cool [Beer]
This will be my first time shooting and handling cans... I am really looking forward to shooting the heck out of'em [Stooge]
4 items... Oh wow... your gonna have a big Christmas [Awesom]
I'll be paying Bert a visit in November (or maybe sooner) to get my barrel threaded and some other things done... hope Bert ain't gonna resort to "plan B" with anything[Coffee]
I just mailed my form 1 for my Remington 870 SBS and a Form 4 for a Surefire 212 can Friday Sept. 28. Now the wait begins.
Check cashed Oct. 4.
Update:
I shot my 7.5" upper for the first time today! Whew this thing is fun! I'm quite pleased that my first self-constructed upper didn't blow up in my hands the first time I pulled the trigger. I shot a 4MOA group from a sandbag, which I am also quite pleased with. (shooting a AR pistol from a sandbag is kind of ridiculous...) Can't wait to get my stamp and turn it into a rifle. I've never shot an AR Pistol before, but it kind of sucks IMHO.
Other things to note: Holy COW does the muzzle break make a huge difference on a 7.5" AR! The Noveske KX3 seemed to do a nice job eliminating flash, but doesn't do anything for the recoil. I have a different muzzle break (i'll post a picture in a little bit) that really helps the muzzle rise, but it was kicking dust off the ground while I was standing, and I was getting hit with a lot of blast. If you were standing next to me while I shot with this muzzle break on, it wouldn't be fun. I took some 340fps video of the kx3, the muzzle break, and no muzzle device to compare. If its interesting I might try to edit and post the videos. It would have been a lot cooler at night, but I digress.
I'm probably going to call in about a month to see if the stamp has gone to "pending." I'm going to check everything over for any signs of stress or wear, give it a light cleaning, then put it in the safe until my stamp comes. All this thinking about it is making me craaaaazy!
