Good luck enforcing that. I for one say they can register my nuts right into their collectivist mouths.

Just very furious, didn't expect the storm to come this fast and badly but it is so we got to let it be known compromise is not in the cards this time. They will take everything from us and if you're not ready to fight the fight to keep your rights step out of the way for those that will.
This got me thinking this morning... Granted we can all let our voices be heard in the various ways allowed in our (so for) free society, and let our lawmakers know that anti-gun legislation is not ok. But, what happens if they do pass another AWB with magazine cap? First at state level, what can we do? Have the NRA help out with a lawsuit? Go to the SCOTUS? What about at a federal level? Short of the unspeakable, I fear that they'll do whatever they want, our opinions be damned, and we'll either be forced to follow the law, or become outlaws. What choice do we have here?
I think congress and Bloomberg should lead from the front and give up all of their armed protection. I mean guns have no business in our society right?
Very good question, and I guess we can count on something happening that we don't like. I think we've missed our biggest chance to avoid actions like these, in that we should have been pursuring a grass-roots education effort to those who are afraid of guns and gun owners. It's still not a bad idea, and it should start with our own changes in attitudes. Stop calling them libtards and antis, and consider them "pre-gun owners". Sponsor free range days, and make it liberal friendly: no camo, no military gear, bring your own wives and kids, get a few interested, get them educated, and let them be a voice for reason for us. Anti-gun people aren't going to be influenced much by "gun-nuts", as they see us, but we can create influence agents in their midst.
As far as the impending legislation, it's going to be a tough time, I think. Education, statistics are all in our favor, but emotions are running very high. It's a good thing, I think, that we're as far from an election cycle as we are, as it gives a legislator more breathing room to take a stand in the emotions of the day.
I just wrote this, give it a read, share it, what have you, but it outlines points that we've hit on a lot...
