I called the Popo's like Mx'r suggested,after giving the Lady on the phone the serial number, she said she couldn't do this over the phone, and sent two officers to the house, because it came back as a positive hit for a stolen firearm.
The gun was not stolen as it turns out, but the websites failed to catch the straight serial number search. My keltec p3at has the same serial number as a stolen .380 auto from 1972 in Houston. obviously keltec was not made in 1972, so the gun is not stolen. Don't trust these websites as they do not have access to NCIC.
