So 4 months and a couple days
Jeebus, a dealer transfer just took 8 flippin weeks. WTF?
Yeah I was pleasantly surprised, I'm sure the holidays will slow things down a bit, but things are definitely looking brighter.
Form 1 submitted this morning. 12/27 It's listed as PENDING RESEARCH. Will call monday or tues.
I have had a couple "PENDING RESEARCH" Form 1's. One was for a SBR built on a 80% receiver. After 10 days it went to "SUBMITTED/IN PROGRESS" without me doing anything. 4 weeks later I got my "APPROVED" email E-Stamp. The other was a because the manufactures name on my gun didn't match what was on their approved manufacturers list. They emailed me requesting pictures of the manufacturers name engraved on the gun. I moved to "SUBMITTED/IN PROGRESS" the same day I sent the pictures. 4 weeks to then get my E Stamp. As a weirdness on that one- I received the approval email at 9:16 pm last Sunday (Dec. 21).
For what it's worth- I get excellent pictures of the engraving on guns using a flatbed scanner.
I submitted my 80% with my trust name and address the 4a box. It came back with "FORM1 REGISTRATION, UNITED STATES" in the 4a box.
I'm guessing that anything submitted with something entered that doesn't match some preapproved entry will get kicked over to a human. Hopefully someone will look it over and change it to whatever they prefer soon. My second example where the name didn't match had a timeline of e-filed at 2am, email to me asking for pictures at 9am, I replied with pictures at 9:20am, received an email notice of "SUBMITTED/IN PROCESS" about 4:00pm the same day. I hope you get a notice that yours changes to submitted within a couple days.

To Dealer ?
Here's how it worked for me:
In the "manufacturer" section, I clicked mfg code, not name. I entered FM1 many times, as was suggested by several trusted sources, to no avail. The proper code is actually FMI (letter i , not number 1). This immediately populates the field with "Form 1 registration, United States"
Hope this helps.
It IS batfe so YMMV.
You misunderstand. The suppressor is already on a form 3 with my dealer waiting to be picked up by me. The question mark signifies the unknown time that it will take for the actual form 4 hard copy to be received by my dealer. But yes, my form 4 only took 4 months.
Yeap, Form 4's seem to be trending in the 4 month range from everything I'm finding around the interwebs, and both mine submitted in August were within a few days of 4 months.

Was starting to wonder what happened between the approval and the stamp arriving but it finally made it!
Ooh, exciting! Cashed my check on 11/13 for a trust/suppressor.
I should be getting close...tick, tick, tick,
Early B-day & Valentines present from the spouse. Even though the process is "fairly" smooth. One holds their breath (so to speak) Till the APPROVED e-mail arrives.
This is to advise you that the status of your eForms submission with the subject Permit/Control number has changed to SUBMITTED/IN PROCESS

Form 1 for SBR e-filed on 1/8. Approved 2/17. Not to shabby.
Now if I only had a way to make my own suppressors that would be really sweet.
Form 1 E file, SBR, Trust.
Submitted late in the day on 1/8.
Approved 2/18.
Tell me about it. It was my first stamp. Every day I'd wake up thinking "Today might be the day!". Time to get the next one in the queue.
I filed 1/13/15. [Flower]
I should probably file my 300BLK SBR now that I've decided on the barrel.
Question for the brain trust. On my 7.5" SBR submissions I used 26" overall. Does it make sense if I'm filing a 9" to just use 27.5" for the overall length or is 26" some magic number to use?
Tax stamp in hand update...

Not bad! Already tried it on the Remmy 700/.308, yes, oh, yes, it looks goooood. I got a little aroused. I'll admit it. Now, here's the problem. Do you remember the feeling after, late on Xmas morning, after all the presents were open, you had already played, at least once, with all those aforementioned presents, and this dark, disturbing feeling came over you...after SOOO much waiting and anticip.........ation, "ummm, what now?"
Yeah, it's like that. I don't have anything in the pipe. I don't need any more suppressors. I have no desire for an SBR, grenade launcher, full auto...okay, I lied a bit right there, but I don't have the coin for that dream.
So, Now what?
(BTW, Jenny says, "oh great, now they'll tell you!)
Thanks, already submitted with 9" and 27.5" earlier today. With a tape, that's what it is on my existing evil SBR. Of course, I never mounted that upper to any other lower so it could be off a bit I guess. [panic]
Expect the last one filed 1-13-15 to drop into my inbox any day now... tick tock.
I still find it odd that it's the length with the stock extended.
