she an older model but she's still pretty at night!
I did own a Spitfire 1500 and a TR6 in the old days, because they were cheap to buy and nobody wanted to deal with them once they started to break down.... They are fun to drive, albeit slow to accelerate, BUT can be dangerous when driven too fast.... The spit will give you absolutely no warning (ok maybe some wheel chatter) if you corner too fast before you hit the ditch... trust me on this one: This is how mine ended.
Rust is your enemy, and you WILL have to re-wire the whole car.... The good news: There is TONS of parts available worldwide, so fixing something should be easy.
If you find a TR6, it will be a more suitable car for the kind of road we have here.
Yeah I don't imagine your frame snapping itself in half at 50mph is going to end very well. They seem to be somewhat available around here and decently cheap. I mean an old Porsche or an Alfa Romeo, or even a Bugeye Sprite would be even better but it doesn't seem like there's much to choose from when it comes to buying one of those around here. Thanks for the heads up Jim.
Looks like I have a lot in common with Kwando. Up until a couple months ago my daily drive was a '94 4Runner and I have a '66 Impala SS in my garage.

Why not just get a Mazda Miata Or even a Honda S2000?
Current garage occupants are a 1965 Mustang and a 1972 Chevelle. Add in all the extra parts and tools and there's not much garage left. Haha.
I need to clean my garage so I can take a pic. However, most of my stuff is strewn over the property.
Here. Mechanics are TR6 and it is unique. I drove one of these back in the day and it was a fun car. http://www.jagpromotions.com/forsale/tvr/tvrsale.html

Also the Wifey's 2007 Jeep Libby.
You should probably test drive one before you make that assessment. Also, 1) I assume you won't be leaving anything stock, and 2) better hope the old car had enough soul to over come being in the garage instead of on the street if things go South. Take all that with a grain of salt of course. I just don't buy into the whole "no soul" stance, as any modified car has soul.

The Willys on the other hand is just a scoot around the area vehicle.
Never see's any real driving, still working out some bugs from the rebuild.
Might get under it this summer for some suspension work and new fuel tank.

There is so much shite in my garage that make those people on that hoarders show look like ametures.....
But there is a little more room in there for the last couple of years since I loaned out my chainsaw............
My garage? Familiar with the term "20 pounds of shit in a 10 pound bag"?
Nothing exotic I'm afraid:
2014 Premium Edition Mustang convertable
2014 Ford F-150 XLT 4X4

Next buy will be a new Lincoln SUV to replace the Murano.

Nice E36 M3!!
My mom with E36 M3 , when she was on mid life (don't recall exactly, but on yr 1998ish? ). My sister and I chipped in most of our savings for the down payment as a post-divorce present. LOL [ROFL1]
