I decided to save time and save ink. I'm going to re-do the o, a, and b so they are more readable. So far this has cost me the $6.00 for the card stock and the free spray paint I already had. I figure all the pretty ones you guys are printing can do the initial education of the term, and mine will extend the point and set the tone.

Quick and dirty. I made more than I can afford to send. My template got pretty bogged down with paint so there are some drips and over spray. If anyone wants any, I'd drop them off at Bowers as well (if they allow it). However, since mine aren't fancy and clean, I'll only take them down there if someone asks me to. Have to quarter and address them yourself.

In chasing down an appropriate quote for the postcards I was printing tonight, I had to ultimately choose from several great ones. Though there are many, especially from our founding fathers, here is my short-list. I checked them with as many sources as I could find in attempting to verify they are attributed correctly, but use at your own risk:
“The duty of a patriot is to protect his country from its government.”
– Thomas Paine
"I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!"
– Patrick Henry
"A sword never kills anybody; it is a tool in the killer's hand."
– Lucius Annaeus Seneca
"Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act of depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest."
– Mahatma Gandhi
"The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed."
– Alexander Hamilton
"One of the ordinary modes, by which tyrants accomplish their purposes without resistance, is, by disarming the people, and making it an offense to keep arms."
– Constitutional scholar and Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story
"One of the greatest delusions in the world is the hope that the evils in this world are to be cured by legislation."
– Thomas B. Reed

Lots of good stuff in this thread!!!
For anyone who needs postcards, Bowers Tactical has a stack of un-addressed cards that Honey Badger printed. There are also the 200 addressed cards that I printed last night. They are free so just put a stamp on them and send it.
Big thank you to the guys at Bowers for letting us do this and helping to defend the Constitution! If you pick up some cards please throw them some business to show them our appreciation.
Thanks!
I picked up cards from Honeybadger today and left a stack at Bowers, Rapid Fire Bunker, and DCF Guns. I will have some with me while at work at the Parker Walmart if the locals want to come by and get some. They are unaddressed, but the Senator's addresses are easily obtainable on the internet and the link is in this thread early on in the posts.
Cthulhu has graciously taken on making more for Bowers if/when they run out. I will work something out for more for Rapid Fire and DCF if/when they run out there.
Lets get these things posted.
Thanks for all the help guys! This was such an awesome idea, Thank you Rondog!
I'll print some tomorrow, I have a 20% off bag for office depot/max and will get some card stock.
For those who want to participate but are tight on time or resources, We now have generous stacks of both pre-addressed and un-addressed post cards on our counter for any and all to pick up. The pre addressed only need your postage, unaddressed for any government representative you feel the need to contact.
The guys have done the leg work, writing printing and addressing these. All we ask is that you pick some up, put a stamp on them, and drop them in the mail box
I have 84 completed. Damn their is a lot of elected people on the public dime in DC. I only picked up a 200 pack, so when I get to 200 I will call it good.
I printed and sent mine in. If I wasn't in Utah right now I'd print more, since I feel like my efforts are inadequate now. [BooHoo]

Sad to see that the guys on that other site aren't as excited about this as we are.

I'm not a member there. Maybe somebody who is can try to light a fire under their asses.
Printing 600 more right now and will be making a run to the gun stores around town this afternoon. I'll let you guys know where to pick them up ASAP.
Planning on another 1200 tonight.

Can somebody take my modified version and make it appear on all 4 quarters of the page so I can print and mail? Thanks.
I am just going to start printing until I run out of ink or paper. This is great.
I'd like to say thank you to Bowers Tactical, Centennial Gun Store, and The Firing Line for allowing us to put these postcards in their stores. I just dropped off another batch to the aforementioned local businesses so anyone needing postcards, please drop in and pay them a visit. It would be great if you could show them the same support they've shown us and make a purchase.
We've got stacks of them at Firing Line, I put them at the front register as well and started handing them to folks with their receipts.
can anyone print some off for me, i currently have no way of printing anything off and i would like to mail some to the people in NV...i'll send $$ for postage, ink, paper and time PM me!
Heres the modified version if anyone wants a copy.

thanks guys, ill send them out ASAP! you guys are awesome
I'm asking for someone who knows how to do it to take the one postcard of the four that I changed and make all 4 of them on the page like my modified one and post it here so I can print it. Thanks.Quote:
Not sure what you are looking to do, but I am going to take your template and use it if that's alright with you. This is great. I hope that we can get enough support throughout the internet and other media to jam their mailboxes.
I also posted it in the Politics and Activism section to hopefully gain some support.

Ha! Thank you for doing that but it doesn't seem to have gotten much in the way of traffic. Nope just somebody saying they want you to change the quote on the card rather than changing it himself and printing. I'm sorry but that kind of attitude on his part puts the pathetic in apathetic...
Is this what you were thinking? Attachment 18867
Yep sad. I just responded to the a$$hat so maybe he or someone else over there will become part of the solution.

Great, you've identified an error. Now how about downloading the file, fixing the problem, and then start printing and mailing. Apathy is poison.

I could use a hand distributing these to any of the shops that will put them in their store. Let me know if you'd be willing to help and I can give you a stack. I'll be printing more soon but have to pick up more ink and paper. I will continue to do this until my f&cking printer dies...then I'll go buy a high speed printer that does two sided copies.
Bowers Tactical was kind enough to allow us to use their store as a distribution point for these. If you have time please stop by and pick up a stack to drop off, mail, or hand deliver. So far the stores that have a supply are Bowers Tactical, Centennial Gun Store, and The Firing Line. If anyone can deliver to BluCore, 5280, Jenson, etc. please go to Bowers and pick up what you think you can distribute.
Thanks!
Picked up a stack at Rapid Fire Bunker today. Will add postage, addresses and mail tomorrow.
We're handing them out at The Firing Line.
