Nice, but all that sugar! No thanks.
The pressure tank on my domestic spring water system failed so I bought a larger 44 gallon tank. The connections were all different and much better than the old one, but the old tank had a handy mount for the pump so I left it in place. The line runs through two 5 micron filters before the UV sterilizer, then to fixtures upstairs. This is in the enlarged crawl space. Next job for a later day is to bypass the UV for the outdoor hydrants. The untreated water is still safe to drink, but the UV offers more protection. The system is fed by a spring, all pipes buried underground, that runs 30 gallons per minute. About 19 million gallons a year. Free water but for the electricity to run the pump and UV light.

Gear for rimfire fun.
Holster seemed ridiculously long so I cut it down.

If you're unarmed, you are a victim.
Next time you find yourself with a ridiculously long holster, I might have a solution for you.

After trying to figure out why my primary computer was getting down right slow after when I
started to run a game. I was thinking there was an issue with the video card, them computer powered off.
My next thoughts went to power supply or even the main boot drive. Lucky that I noticed the post code on the
mother board and figured out it should be the CPU heat sink. The dead giveaway was when
I tried to spin the fan by hand there was a lot of drag.
With luck the h/w will arrive this Sat; so I guess I have my plans set.
I would head over to MicroCenter in Denver but they had only one CPU heat sink in stock for
the AMD4 socket that cost almost as much as the CPU I have. The CPU heat-sink I bought
is not bleeding edge designed for high thermal load. But then the AMD CPU I have is not the
heat monster so it well within its ability. It should be significantly better than the OEM fan
that came with the processor which is almost impossible to get.

So, one thing led to another - the old computer is toast - well; at least the CPU is...seems some
dolt managed to forget to take off the plastic shim on the CPU, and thus fused the cooler to the CPU.
It seems like more than a few pins on the CPU are toast and the motherboard is 2+ generations out of date. AM4 socket versus the AM5.
But the good news, I did manage to get over 3-4 years of use before that error caught up with me.
I had a bare bones computer that setup for another project that was OBE. At least I can raid
the old hardware for the hard drives.
And yes, I am the dolt[facepalm] - I remember reading the instructions and they said to do something stupid and I did.

I found it... Henry X Model in 357. Such a joy to shoot everything from lower power 38 to full 357 loads. Threaded barrel really opens up the possibilities!
I always wanted the .44 magnum version, be perfect with a whisper pickle, but like you, could never find one "anywhere" that was not apparently rare and gold for the seller, so held off to see what RUGER would do with the Marlin grab. Maybe wait a little longer anyway.
Looked at one the other day at tombstone

they have traditional wood as well.

Went to the range today, someone sitting next to me had picked up a Henry X 44 magnum, I was very jealous, he said it took him a while to find one in stock. It was very nice/ his only complaint is the treaded barrel takes strange thread pattern and he could not find an adaptor for his CAN in stock anywhere. Still want one though. [Coffee][Coffee]

I will buy meat just to burn the hell out of it and leave a carbon footprint that would make Bigfoot jealous if it pissed Greta Thunberg off.
Do you want to piss Greta off? lol...
Show her this picture of North Dakota at Midnight...

Yes, that is Natural Gas, being burned... 24x7x365.
Hell, it pisses me off.

Most Natural Gas in ND isn't flared anymore. It was a decade ago, and still is when there are problems, but that's not the norm. After the boom up there, it was taking longer to get the gathering pipelines in the ground than it was to get a pad drilled and producing, so they just flared it. Now, they aren't drilling anywhere near as fast, so the midstream companies can keep up with the new pads and interconnects.
The NOAA photo is likely showing pad lighting that is on all night, industrial LED fixtures.
Your video was posted six years ago, and is a small pad flare that was used until gathering systems could be built. They can still be used in the event that pipeline pressures are too high or there is H2s in the gas that they want to get rid of.
Flying into Williston in 2014-2015 at night was surreal. Flickering fire light as far as the eye could see.
If that video makes you mad, this will boil your blood:
In 2012, I was working as a contractor in the O/G world and a single customer of mine with ~300 pads in West Texas flared more NG in the calendar year of 2012 than was used in the continental US. It was so cheap per MCF that it wasn't worth gathering with all the existing NG gathering/processing already in place at the time. This is also no longer the case with the EPA and the greenie hippie bitches making energy extraction more and more difficult across the nation.
I'm very happy to learn that is probably LED lighting... but OMG if it isn't. Truly extraordinary.
My brother is in Oil and Gas, and when I showed him this he said... well, look at West Texas if you want to really see what is going on.
West Texas' footprint is nothing like North Dakota on satellite...
So I still wonder, but thank you, I now have hope. :)

Got me one of those Panzer Arms M4 clones. I've put a bunch of mil 12GA 00 thru it and a variety of other 1300+ FPS loads since that seems to be the recommended break-in procedure. Fitting various upgrades has ranged from 'no biggie' (the adjustable stock) to Eh, no so bad (the +2 extension) to 'OMFG I WANT TO KILL MYSELF' (the front handguard).
Overall, I'm very pleased with it so far.
