Caught "6 Days" on Netfix-hmm, rather disappointed with most of it. I did like Mark Strong as the negotiator though don't feel he really got to show his chops, same with most of the actors. You'd also think only 8 SAS members made entry and took care of business. Nice mixture of period BBC news footage with recreation but not enough to overcome it's faults.

Watched "Annihilation", starring Natalie Portman.
Slow, inconsistent, not a particularly good script or dialogue.
Special effects were good, but not enough to make it worth the ticket price.
Just watched 'Radius' on Netflix. I was not expecting much, the premise sounded pretty stupid. Slow first act, but as more and more pieces of the puzzle came together, it became a really cool sci-fi psych thriller.
Perfect timing as I just finished Altered Carbon. Tom Segura's Disgraceful was much funnier than his other specials.
Wife and I took the kids to see "Black Panther" yesterday. I thought it was about as good as "Captain America", but I also realized just how much Marvel fatigue has set in.
I did have a great conversation with my wife regarding how forgetful people are. Wesley Snipes helmed a major Marvel franchise decades before Chadwick Boseman, and was his own fictional wealthy African nation long before Wakanda appeared on screen.

Just saw "Red Sparrow".
Essentially a cold war spy vs. spy, with Jennifer Lawrence, Jeremy Irons, and a few lesser actors.
A little slow at times, not particularly suspenseful, with a huge twist at the end. If you like JL, you get to see her in her entirety.
I recommend waiting for DVD.
Always better to touch ones self in the privacy of the home rather than risk possible legal implications from doing it in a public place.Quote:

We just got MoviePass so we will be going to the theater more often.
Just saw Paul, Apostle of Christ and Black Panther. Plan to see Ready Player One this coming week. With a fixed monthly cost, we are much more likely to go see movies that look mediocre.

Saw "A Quiet Place" with Emily Blount and what's his face Krasinski.
Good movie, suspenseful, entertaining, scary in a few places.
Maybe I'm old or jaded. Having seen just about every kind of monster movie plot, I've developed habit of picking apart the silly things in movies.
The only real firearms in the movie were shotguns. If you've got creatures out and about, why not get better weapons and develop a kill zone and a perimeter?
This does not give away any of the twists in the movie, the end is great.
My preferred creature dispatching weapon is a shotgun. Buckshot and slugs only. The movie people are probably using birdshot.
