A couple weeks ago I decided to upgrade my aging CPU before tariffs went into effect. Got a 4 year extended warranty with it as well.

Not a gamer but have a future need to crunch numbers. Ryzen 9, 8 cores, 16 threads.
Plus just don't want to deal with my old Windows 10 system - I'll just bring Ubuntu up on it.

Geekout upgrades:
UXG-Max
Flex 2.5G POE++ (uplink to my USW-16-POE)

Picked up some nice improvements in Firestick 4K Max streaming speeds running 6Ghz 6E.
Doesn't really do much for my core to internet throughput other than I can now run full boat all options enabled IDS/IPS at 1.5Gbps throughput (Xfinity plan tops out around 950Mbps).
Picked up a 2.5Gb conneciton on my desktop PC thought that onboard Intel Nic is a POS. My 1Gb laptops best it.
Been awhile since I?ve purchased a higher end AR, in a world of fancy low profile slim M-Lok rails, this RISii Daniel Defense just called my name.

Yeahhh buddy sometimes a quad just suits it better!

Thanks! This was a rebuild of a 10.5" upper I assembled in 2019 with a BCM quad and YHM mount, I wanted to make it a bit visually lighter and snug up the fitment. I changed out the handguard, installed an adjustable gas block and replaced the YHM Resonator K with an OCL Polonium K mounted via Keymo.
Picked up some Gun Food.
My trips to the Gunnison/Salida area always seem to pay off.Attachment 98753Attachment 98754
Good price!
I present to you the mother of all food processors:
https://www.johnnyego.com/dump/cake/...foodproc01.JPG
The Breville Paradice. I have lusted after this thing since the Sous Chef two models ago. You could send your kid to college for what this costs, but my kid seems more interested in the trades anyways, so he'll be fine.

This thing comes with more attachments than a 2-gun tactical ninja's wet dream. It will slice, dice, shred, and puree it's way into your heart. It is gross overkill for all your food prepping needs and takes up more kitchen space than a mid-sized right whale. Which it could blend.

I could get a second job disposing of bodies for the mob, which would at least offset some of the purchase price. It will dice a femur without a hitch.

It will replace my old Cuisanhart food processor which was overstuffed and underperformed for many years. As you can see, there is no middle ground for me with Kitchen appliances.
I have used it to process lemon sugar, make pie dough, biscuits, custom peanut flour, and all manner of baking tasks.

I diced up potatoes for breakfast hash for 68 boy scouts and their parents, as well as making fruit cups and dicing up 18 onions and 7 cucumbers without breaking a sweat. None of that remotely justified the cost, but I don't care. Some day my grand kids will tell tales like 'Pop Pop sure did love his food processor', but I won't know who they are talking about and will possibly be in a memory care facility. But the memory of this food processor will stick with me after all else has faded to black. And some day in the distant future, I hope it will blend my cremated ashes into a light and flaky pie crust to be served to my enemies unknowingly, that they may choke on my remains.
Wow.
I think your son has found his new calling whether he wants it or not.
You might get him into a career as a caterer.
I feel like I should warn you to keep your d*ck out of it.
Breville makes some good products. Is that a lemon Bundt cake?
It is a lemon bundt cake! One thing I really like about the food processor is the ease at which it makes lemon sugar. Just peel the lemon with a potato peeler and food process it with the sugar until it all turns damp and yellow. Makes for a strong lemon flavor without the acidity of the juice, which weakens the batter. My old food processor had a 1 cup capacity, and didn't do a great job processing the peels. The Breville will atomize them.
I made peanut butter cookies the other day where I food processed six ounces of honey roasted peanuts into the flour, in addition to the peanut butter. They were the most peanut flavor intensive cookies I've ever had. Anyone going to the 1911 shoot in October will get a chance to sample the goods. And I will put you a plate in the mail, Jim, but only if you win your shoot. Peanut Butter Cookies are only for winners.
Just my big deck is new, the pup has a few years on him. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...505ee4a9fa.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b9bfb48703.jpg

Impressive deck and dog surveying his domain!
That's one good looking deck brother!
Looks nice! I'm sure it wasn't cheap, but a great investment!
Found this at Goodwill. Old mount in pretty good shape and big. The wife was NOT thrilled!

This place also had them https://share.google/bXpTyfbZmkO0W5Idl, but not at $250.
well; this new toy used a lot of spare parts, and was not until today I had a good OS installed that
activated the 5 gig nic. I had used Debian 12 for a few days before I noticed that the new version
of this Linux distro was about to hit.

I slapped an AMD Am5/R-7 processor + 64 gigs (2 sticks), recycled m.2 and power supply.
I am running of the graphics from the process with good results. The display is an
old 24" ultra sharp - which performs quite good. The processor is new / but I decided
that the other build I am working on would not be as good as a fit than the ryzen 9.
I just installed Debian 13 today and after a bit of fussing the nic works fine (used a usb->cat 5).
No wifi - but I rather run this via hard line. The motherboard is a MSI 850 Tomahawk series.
I will need to dig out the angle grinder to tweak the BluRay writer tray for the top bay so the
bottom 3.5" cage does not hit the CPU fan. The drive is hidden by the top flip down cover fake
floppy drive. Even the low(er) profile Noctua CPU cooler was too large.
Based on the documentation I should have had like 20+mm free space. Na, the document lied..
The lower floppy drive cover hides the USB and head jack.
I did not like the included 3 pin case fans, so I opted for the lower end Noctua.
This machine might end up replacing my old desktop machine that I have been using since
Windows 7 Ultra first came out.
It is pretty fast for something that sort of looks like an old style 286 class computer ;). I have an
older direct x-12 8 gig video card I can stuff into the box if I need that sort of thing.
I did notice that the Prusa slicer seemed to be running a bit faster than the other Window machines
I use.
Been awhile since I've been truly back on two wheels. Found a couple of bikes on my bucket list.
