You clean the pockets? I have ran over 8k probably 9/40/45 reloads in comp, AR loads and hunting reloads since I cleaned a pocket. I visually inspect for tumbler media and throw in a primer. I guess it depends on the powder you use also.

They are, Belly, thanks. I tap every shell before decapping, to get any media out, and I have to look into every pocket to see if is has that little ring in there.
Not a bad habit but unless your running extreme dirty powder, its about as useless as trimming straight wall pistol cases. I load light but only use titegroup for 9/40/45/357 SIG.
I did load 500 rounds for a GSSF shoot a few years ago in .40 I was in a hurry and didn't do my usually pocket inspection. Afterwards I realized it and pulled one bullet and found media in the flash hole, all 499 fired without issue. The shoot was in Nebraska and I didn't have time to pull them or I would have.
Cool, thanks.
Why am I on a reloadng forum?
Whoring and reloading - both require many pulls before you shoot your load.
haha,
Reloading is for the rich! I just have guns for status... who shoots now-a-days?
