Finally got our barking fiend a bark collar a few days ago. It has been working quite well. The youngster is figuring out the escalating levels of correction and doesn't just keep barking. Effective even with many deliveries and knocks on the door per day.
That's a beautiful dog.
Just posting to avoid what I'm supposed to be doing. This is the second time this year we've been dog sitting and have had three dogs at once. That's too many dongs.

Gman your dog will learn fast all I need to do with my GSD is put the collier on and she never will even whine.
Freudian slip there Irving ?
Haha, I'd say yes, but they've all been girl dogs. Perhaps too many kongs.

This is Odie and Malley. Malley, the gray, is pure bred pyrenees, while Odie is part Lab and pyrenees. After the lion killed our german shepard, Im hoping they will grow up and eat the lion.
Question for you dog lovers.
One of my 3 yo labs is constantly licking his paws. It's not just one, it can be any one of them. He has no injuries, thorns, etc. It appears to be some sort of obsessive thing. It doesn't appear to be having any ill effects, but it is annoying the hear the "shlomp, shlomp, shlomp" of him licking all the time.
I've done some reading. It says boredom may be a cause, but he has another 3 yo lab here with him and all the neighborhood dogs are pretty much free range so there's a lot going on around here dog-wise.
Any idea on how to stop this? I got the spray stuff to deter chewing on furniture, etc., but not sure if that's a good idea on paws.
