Yea, one guy two houses over opened his door in the late evening and had a gun shoved in his face, was mugged without leaving his house.

Another girl was raped while out walking (my wife now refuses to go walking without me, which is good).

A couple houses down the street were broken in while the owners were at work, so at least they weren't there.
