And can you get me one? ;)
It's a 4-axis CNC milling machine with the ability to rotate the part like on a lathe. See this:

And no, I will not get you one. If I could afford one, it would be sitting in my garage already and I'd be churning out parts. What would the parts go to? I have no clue, but I'd be churning them out! [LOL]
eta: The tool can move in X, Y, Z axes. The part holder can rotate changing the angle of the z-axis. Then, the part can also be spun in the toolhead like on a lathe.
Awesome sauce
Mill some lowers!
Or maybe I read your post totally wrong. We're you talking about making some cool holes in your lowers? ;)
I have considered it, making firearms would be fun.
Although, I have also designed a suppressor, as well as performed the finite element analysis on it, but I haven't quite decided to pay for the tax stamp because my machining skills aren't up to par for the constraints I would need.
But with this 5-axis cnc, I could TOTALLY build it. After I applied for the tax stamp of course.
And if my current career falls through, I would highly consider something like that, designing/building/selling suppressors. If I recall, with the proper license to manufacture and sell suppressors, you only need to sell a minimum of 6 per year, so I could currently apply for it and then just sell the first 6 at super discounted prices so people would be crazy NOT to buy one.
Hmm... now you've got me thinking about it again!
I'm watching HEAT right now on TV while waiting for my homemade lasagna to cook. Life isn't terrible.
Its a form 1, you can build your own but you have to add a serial number of some sort (if I recall) and still file for a tax stamp and still $200.
