Not gonna hold my breath, but it would be nice to see it really happen. I'm a member at Ben Lomond and prefer to shoot there, but it would be nice to have a place within walking distance to try out handgun loads or just vent stress.
Project is dead.

All,
We wanted to give you all an update on the status of the business. Unfortunately we did not reach our monetary goal by the deadline given to us by the Town of Parker. The Town has terminated our project as well as the bank pulling out their funding proposal. We have reached our limit on finding a path for this project and will be putting the land up for sale and moving on to something different. We will see what God has in store for us next! Thank you to all for your support and prayers!
IMHO, they did a piss poor job of marketing the whole thing, but at least they tried.
We're caught up in a rezoning debate right now where they want to change the land usage surrounding them. That whole chunk of land, they want to change from being zoned for only 5 acre lots to a regular neighborhood with 300+ houses. The problem is we don't have a municipal water source down here, only wells http://savefranktown.com/
So need a shooting range in Parker
There is discussion right now about a new gun range called the Back 40, on chambers south of heirloom.
Outdoor shooting into the backside of the reservoir would be swell...one hell of a backstop already built
Back 40 is a 25,000 sq ft indoor range, but the neighbors don't want it because NIMBY.
Sorry folks, but that's what happens when you buy a house that has commercial zoning within or bordering the development. Just because the space behind your new trophy is "open," doesn't mean it's deeded open space.
