We pay more taxes (pro/reg) than some of other counties.

Our US companies pays one of the highest corporate taxes in the world.

I've tried adjusting my withholding- what I wind up with is a refund from Fed, and owing money to CO state... I'm currently at 10 and 10... probably should try 12 and 9- but seems odd, since I only have 4 kids.
I think what throws it off is the bonus we get where I work.. in the paycheck for the bonus, they withhold like 39%-42% for various the various taxes... since that's not my normal pay rate, this throws off the entire calculations.
I did get less back this year, since my oldest was 17 at the end of the year (no more child tax credit from her)...
