Like you wouldn't believe (ok, I know you do believe, but still). It's downright scary and terrifying. When I look at young kids these days, the dependence on all things electronic, the "why isn't this free?" mentality, the "oh there's rain on the field we can't play ball let go home and play video games", etc., it almost shatters all confidence in the future. Because you can see clear as day that they're picking up their parents habits and defeatist attitudes, and you can tell when they've learned particularly nasty bits from their worthless teachers.

Thank you Ginsue, I've been MIA for a while (personal issues), but it feels good to be back. Guess I'm seeing things with a sense of clarity that I haven't had before. I'm sick and tired of guns being blamed for crime. It's the only inanimate object that is blamed for evil rather than the evil person. Lately I've been wondering if my father was scared for my future in the way I am scared for the future of my sons?

Short answer: YES! My friend's grandfather said "I thought it was going to get out of hand when I raised my son in the 1960's and 70's, but oh no, it was worse when my grandsons grew up in the 80's and 90's... Thank God I'll be dead when my great-grandsons will be raised in the 2020's, I don't think shit can get much worse." He has a very nice display from his time in Europe- it's his M1 Garand and an enemy's 98k, and he probably owns more guns than he can readily state.

My folks didn't hear me stop by this morning and before I came around the corner, I heard my father talking to my mother about how he was nervous about Iraq going sour, and the possibility of me getting drafted. I'm 28, too old to be drafted and he can't remember the year I was born. But it's good to know I'm not the only one in my family who see's how bleak things have been. Around me, they act like everything's no big deal.

But we all do lofao, when obozo says something stupid in an interview or speech.

I think we should use some of the dems. Tactics against them.

I say we get bateman on their primary for any political office. Then anyone who can stand without assistance, and put together a complete thought will beat him. Brain dead simple, however, it might require some voter fraud. It works for the dems.

He may be a self-described infantryman but his attitude and self-puffery screams REMF to me. "overseas in Afghanistand and NATO nations for half a decade" ... mmm hmmm ... okay, gotcha. One tour in Afghanistan to punch his ticket with the rest of the time schmoozing it up at NATO HQ or the Marshall Center or what have you. Great way to make O6 while being completely freaking irrelevant to actual national security.
