The depth on the long one is just enough to fit an AR. The strength comes from the height. We could make the pistol version shorter, but I don't know that it would be strong enough. Short answer, no.Quote:

This is a video of the magnetic lock. The units will come with a magnet. Hold it one way to lock, the other to unlock. Stick the magnet to something nearby to keep it handy Shoot, if your house has steel corner bead under the drywall, you can just stick it to the wall.

This is way cool. It would be wise to invest in a Patent on this design.
Would there be a way to reverse the pieces so that your drawer opens from it w/o moving the top panel? This would allow you to open it w/o worrying about whatever you have in top moving around and getting in the way of weapon retrieval or falling over.
