Keep in mind that the majority of Iraqis were either nominal muslims or outright irreligious. Our entrance into, and destruction of, their country is what radicalized them and created such groups as the 1920's Brigade, etc.

There is a potential for left-leaning folks who aren't limp-wristed milquetoasts to rise up if they think it's "going down" and a side must be chosen.

THIS is how reality works people. It's like gun "confiscation" - police or any other gov't entity will never do it, they will only grandfather it and wait patiently for you to fucking die. All these defensive fantasies are utterly retarded. You won't be at all comfortable when you have errant rounds coming from a crowd without a single thing in the world that you can do about it.
