This thread makes me want to move out of the city - especialy since the wife and I are trying to concieve. Want my children to be raised in an environment rooted in good values and away from the 'city' mind set.
I don't have it too bad here in the S/W Springs - Cheyenne Meadows area.
Although we do hear automatic weapons fire frequently (and some far off artillery......)
due to the proximity of the Carson firing range. Thank God for the US military!
Neighbors on either side are gun owners - one just brought over his .308 and .40 for me to hold while they are out of town - the other - retired USAF - has become active since I moved in - we have managed to get him a .357, two .22's and this Christmas - a new XD in 9mm.
Neighbor across the street works for the USOC and was over one day while I was 'cleaning' - lots of targets in the garage - guns etc - she just commented "looks like some good shooting" - so I'll call her a good one too.
I tell ya - it makes a big difference - knowing your neighbors and trusting them.
Good thread - I loved the town of Bailey while I was there - bought my Kimber from Bailey Guns - Love the sign - "Alchohol, Tobacco, Firearms" I get a kick out of that!

It is kinda cool livi'n up here. Don't mind the 1 hour + ride to town to get stuff, makes ya feel relaxed when you round that curve on 285 and see the Kenosha Range.
My nearest neighbor is a FED Cop, and luvs Sigs. So we get along well.
As for that Bailey Guns Guy,,,,LOL,,, He is Great, and not just cause he likes guns and Harleys.

Guns & Harleys are all the proof I need that God exists! I'm just really curious what He rides and carries?

Now THAT is living in America the way it should be. The fear and terror of inanimate objects in the cities these days is ridiculous.
