Just a footnote to this. If you think just because some of us work for the fed that it has been all rosy guess again. Last two years. Pay frozen and my part of the premium has gone up by $140 per month not to mention all the price hikes on the co-pays.
And I still hear some workers tout how great he is. [Bang]
Remember that a lot of money going to insurance companies are tied up in reserves the whole time. It's not like the insurance money is only paying out the equivalent of 2% of the premiums they collect like people think.
Obviously you are the problem. As you can afford (as in you are not getting freeshit) you deserve to pay more so that those with less can have it too. Get with the program Comrade
Our open enrollment is upon us as well.
The Low premium/high deductible plan is going away.
All other plan deductibles are increasing by $500.
Employee opt out stipend of $200/month is cancelled. (if you chose to not insure through them)
Unsure of premium changes at this time.
Happy bendovernovember everybody!
Wait till that first paycheck in JAN when the BUSH era tax rates (note its a rate - not a tax cut, the fact the Dems love to point out is that it is lower than the prior rate, but that is irrelevant) will be upgraded to Obama budget rates. Add to that there will be several new Obamma Care related taxes that start.
Keep in mind the election won't change this - Congress will have to act to remedy this and the new Congress won't be seated until nearly FEB - then a bill will need to be drafted, passed, forwarded to the Senate... Conference comitties etc.
If Romney is elected we will see the immediate Blame Romney mantra that was used on Bush. [Rant1]
