Here's the ironic twist I heard- he was on Celebrity rehab... and since became a sort of poster child for Dr. Drew (since he was one of the success stories, many on that show wind up dead)

So Mr. King was involved in tours, etc in association with Celeb. Rehab, and some other stunt called "sober house" where they gave him a house...

And that's where he would up dead.

ETA: conflicting reports, some say it was a different house? who knows? (I'm given more time to this than I intended to already- back to work)
