A car, potentially, is more deadly than a gun.... guns weigh what? A few pounds (roughly 30 at most for most guns people can legally own), a car weighs 3,000, and can go around 300 miles on one tank- you could run down and collide with a lot more people in 300 miles than you could with 3,000 rounds....
