1995 Yamaha XT600 and 2000 Kawasaki Sherpa. I'm an older guy at this point and like the XT for the low seat and electric start. The Sherpa is just a really comfortable ride.

Its a great bike. I had a 2009 450xc-w prior to this one and the 350 feels like a mountain bike. You definitely pay a little more. But I think it's worth it.
Something to keep in mind, the titles on KTM's don't say "for off-road use only". So getting it plated is super easy. I just went to the DMV and it was no different than getting plates for my street bike. The EXC comes with a lot of smog crap that needs to be taken off (so I've read). You might just want to get the XC-W and just plate it. Although the Six Days certainly is sexy. Check out the 350 as well. It's got a surprising amount of power. It would get old on the highway, but it definitely has the speed to ride around town and what not.
I just bought this KTM. 150 horsepower certainly makes for a comfy ride on the paved roads. Even though I try and stay off them as much as possible. It's a beast.

Here's my latest black beauty. Bought it about 2 months ago now. Took it down to Bishop's Castle and back this morning.

Here's mine a couple weeks ago on the way to Deckers.

There's a 2016 Road King Police in my very near future...hopefully Sat. May have to wait another week. I have to go to Great Falls to pick it up.
Just bought a 1999 XT350; taking it to Apex soon for once-over/tune up and hoping they don't tell me I bought a lemon (seems to drive fine, but who knows).
Just purchased to add to the stable

I got WWII going on in my Garage! [Coffee]
I've owned my 85 XT since 1998. Great bikes. Don't remove the baffle from the exhaust, as it doesn't make it run any better. The carbs are the most convoluted, pointless design ever, so rejetting is a pain. The engine itself makes an anvil look fragile, however.
Yea me too unfortunately , I'll keep it low miles as an investment and ride the other duc most of the time
2015 DRZ400SM - only have 450 miles on it so far. Already have had it over a bunch of the passes around Silverton. Need to jet it properly soon!

TFOGGER has it right. They are the TKC80's. 120/70 17 front and 150/70 17 rear. It was the less expensive way to make the SM dirt ready for high country riding. Moving forward and funds allowing, I would probably source a set of wheels from the E/S DRZ for any more technical riding...

I don't know if Cycleracks' rear rack for the 400S will fit the SM, as they don't say on their site, but if you are interested in a rear rack, Cycleracks is the way to go. Should give em a call if you are interested in it. Have had them on last two bikes and they're great.
Was just clicking through their customer pics and realized they had a picture of my old bike on there!
I'd forgotten I had sent that picture to them. When I was living in an apt over in West COS, I had a fireplace and so did the old man next to me. So I'd drive up in the mountains and get dead-fall for firewood for us that winter.

I still have the gloves on the handlebars, stored in my truck.

Finally replaced my last HD I sold after I f'd up my shoulder and before the move. Thought I'd settled on a RK, but this one spoke to me.

That's a big ole girl , how's it ride?
Comfy...like a big ole girl. [Coffee]
They ride really well with the improvements they've made in suspension and such since 09. Surprisingly nimble...well, as nimble as a 900+ pound bike can be.
ETA: And the brightest freakin' headlights I've ever seen.
It'd be tough to get all my tools up there. Do you have a local shop that you deal with?
^^ Not really. Gotta be somebody around that knows someone.
You can usually find a decent Harley shop almost anywhere, but in ID you're likely to find a buncha sled heads too. I can ship stuff to you no problem, but finding someone to tune it might be problematic.
Not seeing a lot of metric cruisers here, but here's my new toy. 99 Suzuki Intruder VS800.

Perhaps not quite the right place to post this but close enough.
We rode up to this place for lunch today.
