Nice win for the home team. Go Von.
I'm happy for the Broncos fans out there. I had a fulfilling day largely with the family sans Superbowl. I haven't gotten over the embarrassment that was 1988.
Yeah, great...now I'm dealing with all the nonsense accompanied with a home team super bowl victory. Bronco fans fucking up the downtown area. Oh...and DPD just deployed tear gas. This makes me happy. As a police dispatcher I'm making my $$$ tonight.
Yea unlike the last two bowl wins I will not be in lodo getting tear gas fever. Anyone know if the laid the gas out yet?
I'm happy for the Broncos. It's nice to see Manning with the opportunity of going out on top.
Congrats to the Broncos fans. I agree, Manning handled the idiotic question about retirement very well.
Anybody see Cam Newton's "press conference" after the game? I see pouting like that when my 2 year old gets in trouble for trying to push her brother off the couch, never thought I'd see it from a grown man who plays a game for a living.
Yep. DPD deployed tear gas near 16th & Stout. All the inebriated dumb shit intoxicated fans were stirring up all kinds of bullshit. Glad I got to watch it all from camera. Listening to DPD TAC channel was a blast. They did an outstanding job in all the chaos.
I remember being in lodo during the last two bowl wins and I honestly believe that's why I hate that area with a passion. It's full of drunks and very very dangerous. I'm glad I had to work tonight, watched it and still go pains and didn't have to deal with any of the craziness.
Good Job DPD!
Yeah, I don't go downtown...ever. I can do without all the bullshit that surrounds it. I hate, loathe and despise downtown Denver. Glad I wasn't the only one working tonight. We were watching it on a host of cameras. Nice thing about working for the Transit Police Dispatch center. We have over 2,500 cameras at our disposal.
"Keep Pounding"
A very fitting slogan for the pussy cats. ;)
You have me to partially thank for the win. I don't think the GF has ever watched a Broncos game where they won. Ever. So I took us out to watch SW:TFA during the game and shared the theater with 7 other people. Afterwards we went to Colorado Mountain Brewery and sat far away from the TVs. I got delayed on the way out and she wandered into the bar to watch, upon which the Panther's promptly scored a field goal.
Upon hearing the screams of dismay coming from the bar, I knew right were to find her and dragged her out and headed to summersweet yogurt where they didn't have a TV and then didn't head home until the game had concluded.
You're all welcome.
O2
I guess Cam thought they were just going to hand him the trophy for showing up. Saw the video of him sitting by himself on the sideline pouting. NOT a team player. Somebody needs to send him a participation trophy to brighten his day.
Did you guys see his second fumble when he reacted like the ball was poison and he pulled away...instead of diving into the scrum to recover the ball? Not a good example of 'killer instinct' there Cam.
Cam acted like a giant pussy on that play, other plays, and after the game.
After the game he was pissed because they were interviewing the Broncos (first time they've required the losing qb to interview btw) right next to him. Harris was talking trash the whole time... I don't blame him for it, better than him lashing out

Really? They never interview the "key" players of the opposing (losing) team?
First I've heard.

just glad I'm working at a different location tomorrow, work will be a friggin zoo with all the partying in the streets/park.
I wonder how much Cam got payed to throw the game for Peyton's big send-off. [Coffee]
I always wondered if Cam was an acronym? Finally figured it out.
Candy ass mofo.

Bronco fans: For years we've been the underdog & never given credit. It was frustrating watching the best defense in the league go largely unnoticed. Now, on the heels of winning Super Bowl 50 what do I wake up to see? A bunch of Facebook posts about Cam Newton. C'mon Bronco fans, you're better than that. Don't stoop to that level. Don't fall into the media narrative about taking the focus away from Denver. This was a Denver win. Period. Carolina didn't give the game away because Denver took it. Carolina fought one HELL of a tough battle & Denver was just that much better. End of story. Carolina had a hell of a season & deserved all of the credit they received because they really were that good. Denver was better. Let's rise to that level as fans & celebrate the victory & not resort to negativity because it's not necessary. Good sportsmanship is just as important in victory as it is in defeat.
As in many games, whoever can better capitalize on their opponent's mistakes is likely to win. Carolina made several unforced errors, but the Denver defense also forced two huge errors that resulted in Denver TDs. Maybe people aren't giving Denver credit because they (the people) fail to attribute skill to the Denver D and instead attribute weakness to the Carolina O-line.
The parade just rolled past my office building. Didn't go outside to watch it, just found an empty office to watch from. There is a mess of people outside now.
Good for the Broncos and their fans. Enjoy it. Let next season be next season. Enjoy the win.
anyone at the parade/rally? the crowds look unbelievable. just a few more than showed at those capitol steps rallies during the gun law debates a few years back.
and as for Cam--who cares that he doesn't want to talk to the jackasses in the media who want to know how he "feels" for losing the super bowl? it doesn't have a damn thing to do with sportsmanship, etc.--the guy didn't want to talk. so what?
