I hope you have a wonderful get-together. I wanted to come too, to meet all of you and get advice on an AR issue. I really wanted to see JohnnyEgo's treasures. But no, we had to be in Grand Junction for work and legal meetings which totally suck. Best wishes to you all! I'm with you in spirit!

Best of luck with your meetings. Maybe next time you'll have a ton of treasure ;). I'll probably be in GJ a bit this weekend if you want some input on the AR. Saturday or Sunday. You can always hit up Di too.

Yea, that is pretty spot on.

How well do those work? Scheels has those, too. Do you have the lumber and cardboard backer material, too?

they are ok, you need to stake them down or sandbag them to keep them upright with any wind

I will pick up some stakes, probably have some cardboard around

I've got two of a very similar design, which I will bring along with two IDPA cardboards and some firring strips. If need be, one can drive the firring strips directly into the ground with a hammer, staple the cardboard and run as is.

I am probably going to pitch camp on the 50 yard range to start, just because this is a group of AR enthusiasts so it would be ironic to stick to the handguns only 25 range.
I have a small rifle rack, but I will try to make a larger one tomorrow, just in case. Won't be fancy.

While I certainly would be quite entertaining to watch, you all might be laughing so hard from my poor aim there might be serious bodily injury from all the laughter. I have another commitment and was merely chuckling a bit at what I thought was Sideshowbob's reference to canapes (I can't put that little accent mark over the last "e" but I think you know what I mean). Sorry, I saw the list of potential members going, and I will not be there.
If someone wants to cruise by my way Saturday afternoon, I can donate two wood target stands made to use firring strips, but no strips, to mount targets and about a half dozen IPSC home made targets, just cardboard full size outlines no A,B and C zones.

And I was planning on borrowing guns while I was there, I no longer have any since the floods of 2013 when Cherry Creek broke its banks and washed my safe to parts unknown.

It was great to see others I knew and to meet new people and make new friends. Thanks to all that showed up, it was a good day.

I also verified that shooting well is a perishable skill. I really sucked at anything over 15 yards. There was a great variety of firearms to sample and targets to shoot at.

Thanks again to all that made it, I look forward to shooting with you again.
