I've been trying to clean up a considerable amount of brass I have - with special emphasis on .223 so I can finally build 1-2k rounds. I've also got a kitty litter bucket of mixed brass I wanted to clean.
With the .223, I was de-priming/resizing it, running it through 3 minutes in an ultrasonic bath to clean it up and then an hour in a cob media tumbler to shine it.
I bought the Lyman Turbo Sonic 700 late last spring but hadn't removed it from the packaging until last week. It was smaller than I expected. I actually read the directions. I ran about 12 batches of .223, replacing the water/cleaner about every 3 cycles. The problem I had with that was pouring out the dirty fluid; there was no good way to do it. I then ran 3 batches of the mixed brass. When I went to start the 4th batch (after replacing the fluid) the unit just shut off and won't come back on. What I noticed at that point was lots of water beneath the unit. I had seen some under the unit during the previous 2 batches but thought it was slop from when I took the basket of brass out & shook it out. I was wrong. The seal around the top of the bin seams to have failed. I don't think I filled it past the "Max" line, but even if I did, the seal shouldn't fail like that.
The unit only cost $50ish which is cheap for ultrasonic cleaners, but that's a lot of money to me. I'm now really turned off of Lymans products & know I won't be replacing this unit with another Lyman device.
Worth a call to them to see if they'll replace it.
Washed all the blood off the floor. Discovered my floor drain goes God knows where.
Bedded another Rem700.
Does anyone here have any of these primer tube rack hangers from Inline Fabrication? (see link below) If you do, would you mind sending me a PM please? Thanks!

I don't know if this is where to post this...but as people that reload are the same people that use chronies...I've received a new gen 3 Magnetospeed chrony. I've read the instructions, but knowing the intricacies of these things, do any of you have any experience and words of wisdom on the finer points of using one of these (the kind of stuff not included in the instructions)?
And, I've got a Chrony Beta I need to get rid of now.
Jeff
I've got one (love it BTW), other than getting it good and tight on the barrel, and making sure you have enough clearance for the bayonet, it's about as fool proof as it gets.
One thing I always do though after a session when I pull up the data in excel is to Delete the csv file from the card when I'm done, and reset my string number to 1. Also before you pull the card, make sure and archive the last string or it won't be in the csv file. This way when you go out again, your strings start out at 1 and you don't have to weed through the csv file to find where that day started.

Got my reloading stuff out of the boxes, into the basement, where there is a heater, and finally got some bullets made. 100 .223! Hopefully I will fins some time tomorrow to make some more.
Sorted, and tumbled, 737 cases of range brass, correctly put back together the ram on my RCBS turret press, replaced the decapper on my 9mm Lee decapping die, and decapped, sized, and primed 500 cases of 9mm. Now I'm about to go out and start setting up the 9mm dies in anticipation of some bullets I have arriving in the mail soon. Pretty excited to start working up loads again and trying a completely new caliber!
Tumbled a bunch of brass I've been sitting on forever. Now to load them all up.

I made 50 rds of .308. They are as close to exactly like each other as I know how to make. I need to see what kind of groups
these are for the .308 AR I finished building a couple weeks ago. I'm trying to make tiny groups with it.
Cleaned, organized, cleaned. Then I'm going to put a big bookshelf in there and use clear plastic boxes to maintain orderliness with. Orderly and me don't go hand in hand.
Sized/Decapped a bunch of .338 and Sized/Decapped/primed a bunch of 45ACP. Put my 308 back together after bedding it. Off to Tanner tomorrow to get some more primers and powder.
worked up a load for the BCM mid length. 25.4 looks good.

I made 50x .260 Rem. rounds as perfect as I can make them.....
I whispered into the reloading room, "I'll come spend time in you tomorrow when I'm done working." Then I sulked back to my desk. :(
Oh Power Pistol, wherefore art thou Alliant Power Pistol?
At least the money I'm currently saving on gasoline at the pumps is being set aside to hoard powder when it comes back at decent prices. [Coffee]
Still plugging along on a commercial order of 223 into 300 Whisper conversion. One five gallon bucket done, time to start on the second and put a new cutting blade on.
Loaded 150 rounds of what I think is the final load for my blackout SBR. I'd like to go test, but there's all this white crap coming out of the sky.
Finally got my crap unpacked and set up from moving!
Cleaning up the 450 i picked up. Clearly needs serious TLC, If not putting the guts in to a 550 chassis.
Or just give it to me and I'll save you the frustration.
