It's easy to contain them. You need to sit next to them with your legs over their chest area. That weights a dog down / slight immobilization. OR do the towel wrapped arounf their legs trick. Then go to town on those claw looking things.

I know I've neglected his claws. I'm going to try to do something about it this morning. He is so freakin strong though.

Yeah he's so sensitive about it I was just sitting next to him this morning with no tools in my hand, and he won't even let me touch his claws. I think some butt head at pets mart hurt him when he was in there getting detailed when he was younger.
